That potent skarbone can actually kick some butts once it gets to at least lvl 40, plus you should know whenever you hear that wubonnian boss music that means your fighting a dark magic which means they are resisted to everything and they seem to have those dark skills which is why they run out of magic really quick cuz it takes up almost 13 SP
