Well for me im going to carry on playing anything but NMS till 2023 happy for all players who missed out or players that want to redo this years expeditions im happy to play anything else
maybe throw up a link of an expedition, as a fairly brand new player I have no clue …….
I’m sort of happy but still feel cheated. I lost many of my rewards from past expansions after some point in the 4.0 update. Yes, I have a way to regain them but I wasn’t truly planning on having to regain them to begin with.

I've never played in permadeath mode so I'm concerned if the new expeditions are def going to be permadeath. I hope not.

The expedition reruns might only be 2 weeks each, but if the "reduced requirements" makes them doable in 8hrs or less, that's a solid improvement imo. This also opens up the potential for them to squeeze a quick rerun or two between patches. If this is their intent, the older expeditions might get redone eventually too to fit this format.
Autonomous mining units still not fixed. uses your fuel, no resources unless you sit and watch the miner (which is the opposite of Autonomous).
Sounded like the expeditions will have a defined set of settings, but not necessarily the same settings as PermaDeath. Just like PermaDeath has a defined set of settings. This would prevent lowering the settings, but still getting expedition rewards.

I wonder if they want you to be able to re-purchase your ship, but not get it back for free.
Excited to do the expeditions on my Switch though! Polestar was my favorite, so I'm curious to see how the shorter version is.
I'm glad they fixed the reclaiming a ship for free, that was a straight up exploit. Minimum difficulty on redux Expeditions is fine if they keep it to blocking the very easy settings, an Expedition should be a challenge, but not permadeath difficulty.
I wish I could do the older expeditions, ie 2021, because I missed a couple of them and lost access to the first couple ones’ rewards after migrating from Xbox One X to Xbox Series X. Beyond that, not terribly interested in anything. Hope the Switch players have a tonne of fun. I think I’m out for a bit until I can play the first 4-6 expeditions.

Bob, I pre-ordered nms for ps4 years ago. I've played it for years and have recently upgraded to a PC. I've been a little bummed and unmotivated to play because all of my expedition awards do not transfer over :(. Idk if you have homies at hello games but awareness for this and perhaps a solution would be dope. I miss my worm.
The only thing I think is bad from all these changes……is that they took away the ability to break the bank, and I wish I knew why ? I really enjoyed it. and now like all Dev's they Have to screw with things that aren't broken and make you play their way. The thing I liked most about NMS , is that you could play the way YOU want to. SO happy about Expeditions returning. Still wish I could break the bank tho. lol. Have a Great day!
NMS just doesn't seem it's going in the right direction imo. They should be more open with the expeditions. And the nerfs kinda stupid. This just ain't as fun and it wasn't that great before. Not good, I'll definitely not be playing and if this path continues I'll be deleting. Started one expedition and stopped at someone's base and it crashed my game. Not acceptable, haven't been back since and then the nerfs happened. I'm just so surprised they've dome this. Seems switch getting NMS kinda ruined the game imo.

This is exciting, I just started playing beginning of this month, and it sounds like expeditions are temporary leagues. I usually play a game called Path of Exile, and they do temporary leagues so i'm hoping this is similar.
Hey Bob. I have a question for you. I recently upgraded an A-Class solar ship to an S-class. I immediately had an exotic spawn in. Followed by an S-Class freighter. After I jump to another system I found a first wave exotic. My previous playthrough was over 125 hours I never came across any S-Class ships. Is there a game mechanic that brings more S-class ships once you get your first?
I haven't come across any more S-Class ships in the last couple of days. I'm wondering if there's a game mechanic that gives you a window of opportunity to stock up on S-Class ships? Or did I just get lucky?

I'm on experimental. For some reason the last update I show is from October 7. I don't show the update for today. I've closed and reloaded steam just to see if that helped and I still don't have the update.

Dammit! We should be able to sell a crashed ship over and over again. Nanites are hard to come by! Also, why don't they fix the glitch that prevents people from getting all the past earned rewards if they HAVE completed all the expeditions previously. I wrote to zendesk months ago and still can't get all my rewards! I miss my Normandy!
I hope this will repair the switch version of the game. I deleted the game yesterday from my switch. It became somewhat unplayable for me. To many crashes.

It's the first time Switch players can get QS from anything but stellar ice and Nada missions. The minimum difficulty thing, I think, is just that you won't be able to lower the difficulty to like relaxed during expeditions, the same way certain things are not able to be lowered in perma saves, NOT that all expeditions will be perma lol. But you might be able to make things harder in settings 😀 so expeditions on harsh mode anyone?

Thanks for this update video. I know you're just reading patch notes but you do it so I don't have to. I remember completing the Leviathan and Polestar expeditions but I don't remember doing Exobiology and Blighted so I'm glad I'll have the chance to do these.

Great,so they got rid of one of the few things that made this game bearable. Now it's just another tedious grind fest. The free claim back with ships was harmless to the game.
Still no news on the freighter base not transferring when you change freighters!!!
