Gods it's so annoying seeing how many times the drukhari army could have re-rolled all their hit rolls if they were using the old detachment and secured the kill, but because the new detachment dosen't give any extra pain tokens Quinton had to scrape by and make do with so few of them. The new Stratagem tricks were nice to see – it's awesome knowing what the new detachment 'could' do … if only you had more pain tokens CP to play around with.

    Good news is the non-detachment buffs were still amazing. Watching the Archons join the Incubi and re-rolling all the wound rolls was glorious😁.

    10/10 battle-report as always gents. Jolly good show 🙂

  2. Ravagers! Ravagers brings 3 dark lance with rerolling 1s built in, benefits for occasional 4++ strats, and they don't need paint tokens.
    I feel 10 Incubi are a bit too much imho, Archon+5 Incubi are just 150 points and they hit more than enough imho (just soft the target a bit with shoot when needed). Besides, they can jump back on Venoms.
    Wracks are mandatory, those pain tokens are needed.
    Another interesting unit imho are 3 Grotesques on Raider: they shoot 3 flamers ap-1 no cover, then charge with S5 lance ap-2 D2. For just 90 points they bring soft shoot (good against action monkeys, finishing off light units > pain tokens), and reasonable punch on melee.

    I feel the Court still too expensive, and the sustain hit2 just a bait. We don't have really good shooting units and we starve on CPs. I feel we should charge and fall back like every turn, its our bread and butter we are too fragile otherwise.

    Drazhar feels good for 75 points, but alone. No need of Incubi, just disembark, gain lance, precision someone and farm D3 pain tokens. It's the 4th Incubi squad alone (I prefer the 7 attacks twinlinked tho).

  3. I am so bad at this game. I always think that the battle is one sided in one direction (usually against the team I am not uspporting), and then suddenly it turns in the complete opposite and I am left baffled like "how did that happen?? I thought we were getting smashed".

  4. The de detachment just isn’t fixing fundamental problems with the faction. Idk if quinton is a good de player but I don’t think he’s having any better of a time with so few pain tokens and cp

    The tricks are nice in a vacuum but theyre just a shiny bauble to distract from the fact that all we really got were some point drops and a tick of ap occasionally

  5. I still don't understand why building towards the worst units in Drukhari is a good idea. Like Wytches and Incubi blow. The new detachment does nothing but push people into terrible units.

    Talos, Ravager, Mandrakes. Those are the good units.
