  6. I recognize many of the assets for the game from the Digimon World games on the DS (Dawn, Dusk, World), which is really great. It gives it more of that kind of vibe to me instead of Cyber Sleuth, really more along the lines of the DS games, which I grew up with.
    This thing has so much nostalgia for me, I can't wait for it to come out!

  7. Sadly, my hype for Survive died when I realized it was a visual novel style game with a fixed roster. I play these games for party building and collecting, so yeah, not my cup of tea.

    I'm going to keep on the lookout for this game though. I really liked the Digimon World DS games, which are more akin to Dragon Quest Monsters and Digimon World 3 (which I'm currently playing) straight up is the Pokemon battle system until you unlock digivolution to spice it up a bit. If this can capture the same vibe (and not get absolutely demolished by a C&D in the process) that'd be cool.

  18. With Digimon Survive and seemingly Bamco being alright with this fan project, Digimon fans are gonna be eating well for a bit. I like that they are making their own Digimon. Reminds me of the concept behind Guilmon from Tamers.

    I'm actually looking forward to Survive for the story aspect. Probably an unpopular opinion but I found the Cybersleth games plots to be very underwhelming. Gameplay definitely carries those. After playing through a bunch of JRPGs in the last few months some being monster taming games I'm kind of hungry for one with an actual interesting story to tell. Played through both Monster Hunter Stories games in the last month for an example and while I enjoyed the gameplay for the most part the stories were…serviceable.

    I wonder if the fan project will have a pretty good plot. If at least uses some of the vast lore for a lot of the Digimon. Looking forward to it.
