I accidentally yelled at my screen early on because it sounded like you said 'evillish' not 'elvish.' Sorry about that!
One thing you should know about Dragon Quest games? When it comes to names, DQ love their puns! So while I agree naming a kid Toilen makes zero sense in our world, it's all for the sake of the pun!
Also, Psaro and Rose both have a connection name wise to the fourth game. In fact, the end of the trailer shows the lead of the fourth game. If I recall correctly, his name is Solo? So this had me wondering honestly. Is this more of a prequel to the fourth game, like an origin story for Psaro? Or is it some sort of coincidence or alternate universe storywise?
"Young evil-ish woman" xD Elvish, as in an Elf, lol
But, Quite excited for the game!
if its available day one it should be in the game, that damn prothean dlc in mass effect 3 was the same thing and it was incredibaly story relevent
I feel like if the day one dlc affects the story in anyway it should just be apart of the game, but this dlc seems to just be there to get a bit ahead monster/item wise in game so i dont really see a problem with it, but to each their own
hopefully the day one dlc is cosmetic only and not taking out chalice dungeons as you called it
Screw day one dlc
Looks awesome! I'll have to pick it up. I think day 1 DLC is their way of wanting to sell the game at a higher price without scaring away potential customers who wouldn't buy the game at a higher price.
I really also don't like this Day-Onbe DLC, but I also think you are a bit unfair to Pokemon here. The DLC replaces the 3rd Edition and adds content (if you don't liek the content they add don't buy the DLC, after all the Pokemon they add are also available throught trade even if you don't own the DLC) and Stories to the game. I don't say there is nothing to critizes about Pokemon, but the DLC thing is something I don't really see as something that should be critized, they are pretty fair about it and it is much better than a 3rd Edition like in the past.
Demon lord: wahaha you cant hurt me son.
Prince pulls out rope: oh am not going to hurt you. Am going be the daddy now.
Demon king goes anime Wow: ooooh i be tame thank you master.
Day 1 dlc feels like a slap in the face regardless of what it is or how it affects the game
My only regret is that this is coming at the end of the year
Can you go a single video without slighting Pokémon? Cus I remember when the NatDex was first announced EVERYONE suggested adding older Pokemon in future DLC. The appeal of DLC isn’t getting older Pokémon (Which you can transfer over through Home FOR FREE with One Box at a time, or FOR FREE through the in-game Wonder Trade) the appeal is the new open world areas, new lore, new Legendary Pokemon, new characters, new clothing options, new Move tutors, new items, ect.
Still super hyped for the game, but I´m probably not getting the DLC because I don´t want to support this type of practice
You AREN'T necessarily Heroic, but your "selfish" objective is immediately derailed by the advent of necessity and the wildcard element in TRUE friends as well as the proposed method involving networking with monsters. This is gonna be a redemption story. If it ain't broke, why fix it? They'll sell a million units!
I loved DQ Monsters from back in the days of GB color and Dragon Warrior Monsters Terry's Wonderland and that game was a mission and a half. I sunk months into that game to beat the Starry night tournament then found out there was more to be had away from the main goal. Hoping this will be epic in ways of hours but not in endless grinding like in the OG (I'm too old for that). Not sure about the day one dlc…I feel it's at least there so you can obtain more useful items/ monsters during your adventures but not from day one with a fresh team. I don't care for cosmetic items, I feel there's no point unless the clothing or whatever gives you a percentage to say nudge the scouting up by x %.
Toilen Trubble is a pun based on Shakespeare. I believe MacBeth. The 3 witches that prophesize him include the words: "Double, double, toil and trouble."
The original DWM on the GBC was such a big part of my childhood, or at least the latter parts of my school years.
Let me put it like this: I had the Sega MegaDrive (EU version of Genesis) when I was a kid, with the first and second Sonic games, and I remember more of Dragon Warrior Monsters, this game is clearer in my memory than Gen 2 of Pokémon.
My issue is that they never seemed to get back to that kind of gameplay, the majority bit of the fun was just jumping into a portal and then trying to reach the boss through a randomized dungeon run, it was much more addictive than the current 3D games.
Edit: Wait, "new revamped synthesis system"? I need this game!
Rather perturbed by the day one DLC too; I'd rather post-release-developed expansions that are more substantial. Still picking up the game, the core content will be ample based on previous DQ releases, but am torn on that DLC content.
It has multiplayer, but how much customization does it offer for your character?
Don't want it to feel like the spiderman pointing meme
Can you do a let’s play of adore?
My husband and I will probably enjoy this one together. I've been introducing him to the monster taming genre over the past couple of years, and his favorite monster designs, as you put it Ed, are the derpy ones – such as Jack/King Frost from SMT, Mr. Mime, Greedent, and Slowpoke from Pokemon, etc etc. 🙂
Everything about this game looks really cool, except for the day 1 DLC. There's no excuse for it, its just a scummy way to make a quick buck by ripping content from the base game to sell back to those who already bought it.
I'll be honest, that alone makes me worry about the actual quality of the game itself. If they're doing this, who knows what else they've done, right?
I hope we can catch one of Fizzy’s species since they look so cute. Ronin Raccoon is an immediate catch. I wonder if they’ll make Psaro fall in love with the girl or let them be friends. More guy-centric games tend to immediately make the main male guy fall in love with the nearest girl lol
This article really got me excited for the game!! I might bite the bullet and purchase it on day one
I didn't buy Pokémon last year and I guarantee when the second dlc is out the games will get a rerelease with the dlc installed on the game cards already. Even then I think I'd rather buy this as I did like dragon quest 11 when it came out on switch. Also I really hope we get something with medabots but I'm not sure what's going on with the lawsuit so who knows when it'll happen, also a couple lines of medabees from the anime do pop into my head
These games can have kind of a difficulty bump in the middle, so I think if they want to make it easier to play with the monsters that you want through the DLC it's okay. I mean, I feel like I've just been broken down into accepting day one dlc, as long as it doesn't seem like an extensive part of the game. I mean in all transparency, I'll probably buy it because it's the kind of game I love. I usually buy the day 1 stuff for dragon quest, fire emblem, and Shin Megami Tensei… but honestly, I'm glad pokemon doesn't do it… but Pokemon also charges for enough and more things than those games as well. Although, I also get why people are against this stuff because we use to just get it in the regular game!
That said, I don't really feel like content was cut from the main game for the Pokemon DLC at all… especially looking at Scarlet and Violet where you can argue if they really did even finish in time, lol. (Also, same to be said about Sword and Shield… I still say WTF was that ending with the still images instead of cut scenes? I mean, even Sun and Moon and X&Y had full cut scenes for all their key moments. Sword and Shield's ending was also not even coherent, like it still makes little to no sense as to why Rose is really a villain or why he did what he did)
I'm sure the it will be at least OK to Good game
Hi! Can you do a vid of where all soulstones are at in Nexomon extinction?
The day one dlc… 😅 this is already in the game. I like the word people used to say as: disc locked content and not downloadable content.
DQ Treaures has been a lot of fun for me. I’m still early game but the gameplay loop is fun.
Honestly man this isn't good, content locked day 1 dlc for a 60$ spin-off game isn't appealing. I'm not trying to say that the game base content won't deserve that pricetag since we can't be sure yet but it's just a bad commercial move, being 60$ when you're not an especially popular spin-off series and you're competing with Pokemon and much cheaper indies is already debatable, but if you add non cosmetic day one dlc on top of that you just lost me and a lot of other people that aren't already familiar with this series but wanted to give it a try. I'm not saying the game will be bad but it feels scammy so I won't buy it day one to support them for sure, might get it on sale later if it's really good so I'm not closing all doors at least.
