after watching vid: aight, so that was ok. there was very very little gameplay, but the animations look decent. side and back hits could be a good feature for combat, but… that was so, so small of a reveal.

I doubt they'll translate it. It reminds me in Digimon World 2 where they had a voice for Agumon when he attacked and it sounded like, "Pep-py Breath!" and if I were to guess the 4's. Possibly splash damage? Like 4 is the set amount if a digimon is hit by that?
A know it's only a little clip but the game play does not look that great the fight scenes look bad compared to games like tem tem and such

It's already been confirmed that the audio will be JP only, and that the game won't be fully voice acted (makes sense since this game will mostly be a visual novel).
As for the story segment at the beginning, what's actually going on is that Aoi is in danger or something (saw some people online talking about it). There aren't any starter Digimon in this game, partners are already set to the main characters. Digimon can be recruited however.
Man it really looks like a game that's not for me but I will be buying to support digimon.

2 things everyone starts with same rookie forms so MC always has agumon and that dog digimon labramon are always there your choices affect what they evolve into digimon usually does Japanese with English subtitles this may be different due to delays but all other games that came before use Japanese voice lines
