  2. I enjoyed this batrep a lot and this was a beautiful Biel-Tan list for Arks of Omen (I love Biel-Tan). You're 100% correct that Dark Reapers are absolute rubbish and a waste of points. That measly 15pts reduction was a joke and just showed that whoever is responsible for these balance patches doesn't understand the codex nor do they care to understand. They're a bad investment even in a CW setup that can support them well like Biel-Tan, Altansar or FFC with Swift Strikes & Masterful Shots.

    In this list, for the same 165 pts cost, one could bring either another Elite unit since I think you had one other slot remaining (6 Fire Dragons with Blazing Fury costs 164pts), a Fire Prism (excellent with Biel-Tan), a Falcon with a bunch of upgrades that also could have been nice with those Banshees, 3 War Walkers with Shuricans or Scatters or 2 WW's with 3 Lances and 1 ML for the Starhawk Stratagem that would be even better with the Biel-Tan rerolls, a unit of 7 Warp Spiders with a Web of Deceit Exarch (Spiders are very good now with the removal of AoC and they didn't eat too many pts nerfs since release – +2pts compared to the +7 the poor Hawks got battered with).

    Reapers either need a redesign/errata or a serious pts reduction (I'd prefer the former but I'm not holding my breath).

  5. I don’t think you can redeploy rangers outside of your deployment zone. Their advanced positions rule states “during deployment” and you use phantasm “after deployment” which is in a different step. Check out page 2 of core book faq for full details. I would love to be wrong
