Structural Integrity. It's already falling apart; who knows when a floor will give out, or a wall will crumble over… and could you properly heal injuries caused by this?
Resources. Unless you can imitate what it's made out of, you can't replicate or repair it… Making it definitely temporary. Who wants a temporary home?
Infestations. It's been a part of nature for how long now? Who knows what kind of bugs, insects, reptiles or other such have made it their home; and what them attacking you in defense will inflict your people with. Infections, poisons… things not to taken lightly.
Tools. Kinda hard to work your way through concrete without proper masonry bits or carbide chisels; unless you want to destroy precious tools.
Lack of compatibility. With no way to tool the existing structure, affixing new bits in needed places (like roofing) becomes quite the complex task (nothing to nail down to, lash around, or even put a post in the ground cause of concrete pad). Assuming metalworking is feasible, you have to worry about galvanic corrosion… For masonry, you'd have redo the vast majority or mortar for it to take hold anyways. Easier and faster solutions are more viable.
Lack of uniformity. Aside from aesthetics, the differing materials will be affected by temperature, rain, etc seasonal changes to different degrees. Expansion/contraction and other such issues.
Comfort. If yer society is living off open fires, and you've no way to cool the ruin down, it can get very hot inside for a very long time. The same is true in reverse for cold, with no fires… But these could be benefits if used correctly. (staying warm through winter; makeshift fridges…)

None of this is to say that it can't be done… Just that it comes with it's own set of problems.

  2. American vloggers doing these sort of playthroughs unfortunately tend ruin watching by (a) non-stop talking, rather than simply commenting game mechanics and why they are doing whatever it is they are choosing to do, and (b) talking fast at what seems to be at least 1X speed to the rest of the world (approaching the 1950s/60s Chipmunks cartoon levels). Both flaws must be Generation * characteristics, and to hear a group of them talk in real life must be an ordeal…
