My mom encouraged me to take a job in retail while I was in high school. I hated it at the time and it was at a school clothing store so over the holidays it was crazy busy. I was working with impatient customers, tired co-workers and a hellish boss.
Now working at a small company, doing work I enjoy with co-workers and a boss I get along with (most of the time), I realise I use those skills of dealing with angry customers and juggling projects and stress so much better than those my age who didn't.
I don't thing anyone wants those crappy retail jobs or wants to work with a million clients a day, but man can it be a huge learning opportunity.

I fell asleep watching this and had THE most insane tavern-fantasy-action themed dream i've ever had.. only the people running the tavern were two guys who were in a band/friends from highschool and it was like i was watching a documentary on all their tavern happenings/how they bought the place.. dream ended after they just found a dragon that stole a stray dog from their tavern.. rode after it in motor cycles.. there was music in the background.. and a love interest between the two guys who also rode a motorcycle but would just make fun of them. I specifically remember a photo montage of their band doing a shoot, at the tavern, getting drunk. No idea how all of that came from watching this video, buuut thanks? lol
There are a lot of nerdy themed cafes/bars/restaurants in Japan! But the rest of the world has yet to catch up 😔
I'm a massive introvert (like I usually score around the 97-98% mark) but I work in a shoe shop so you're dealing with people close up all the time. I enjoy it, because they're mostly shorter interactions within the framework of the situation. There's always conversation to fall back on if you need it. I actually find that way less stressful than social things with friends or strangers where there's nothing there to 'keep the conversation going'. I like being with friends but I'll often be there quietly enjoying the company and not engaging constantly.
It's much better than the year I worked in a cafe where there was way too much to keep track of. People coming up and ordering one at a time is easier to manage than lots of people who all think they should be priority because everyone is the centre of their own universe. I'd probably be ok in a coffee shop over a bar, because the queue is much more organised and people wait their turn 😆

As to answer your question about barrista/bartender, I have been a waitress and did lots of bartending for around 15 yrs and I personally do it for the adrenaline rush. When you're real busy adrenaline kicks in and damn that's addictive. On the opposite tho if it's real quiet I usually go home. I'd rather spend time with my dog 😅 I am the nightmare of my boss cauz I will close the restaurant at 10pm(instead of midnight) if I feel like it and there's nobody coming in🤣. And on another note, I dunno what happened to you for having such a low self-esteem but damn YOU'RE THE BEST stop doubting yourself. And you're handsome too I've seen the picture 🥴 Filter Make up or not. I get it tho I don't really like being around other people as soon as my shift ends. We love you here Morphy ❣

I am a larper. It may be different in the UK, but where I used to do it in the States before moving to Australia, each LARP had its own character building system and theme/world. Like D&D but actually dressing up and going out into the woods.

I went to my first larp over the weekend as a cowkin, walked and danced around the place with cowbells on my belt which some people seemed to enjoy! I had a lovely time everyone was so lovely, might have been the best camping trip I’ve ever had 🧡

That said, there are a ton of other games like this – but two really good ones are: a very Stardew Valleyesque one called Traveler's Rest, and an isometric view one called Tavern Master. Theres a slew out there, and probably just as many in VR!

we have player 1 bar here in vegas. its a gaming bar where they have things from ps2/xbox360 to ps5/xbox1 and old retro games like donkey kong and pacman, pinball machines, unique drinks, food, anime themed nights, the workers are forced to cosplay everyday, lots of people love playing fighting games on the big tvs at the bar against each other. amazing amazing place.

32:03 It really depends on the person. Not everyone is putting makeup on to enhance the way they look. It could be just for fun, for the art of it, makes you feel more yourself, Self-Expression, Maybe just to add some color. At times it's seen as an accessory for your outfit. Imagine wearing a really colorful, interesting outfit and then having a blank face it sort of makes The outfit feel lopsided in a way. There are people who do it for others but I wouldn't say that is a great reason. You could say it's a costume but I feel like things are always going to be a costume if you don't look the way you feel.

I definitely agree I would go as a villain to any type of LARP. I always thought like the actors who get to play like the villains in movies and shows are having the most fun. Because it's so different from who you are in real life. There is no way anyone can tell me that Ursula's voice actor wasn't having the most fun with the performance LMAO I would definitely practice an evil laugh though and I would maybe come up with a convoluted evil plan so that way anytime I see a hero I can start a fight.
I really enjoyed watching the entire video. I think I’ll also play this game in the future! Really nice vibe, but I hope we can employ someone to wash the crockery in the full game.

I havenever been a bartender, but I have been a barista, and a waitress for many years. I have worked both for corporate and small family owned. At a corporate job, you have anuff people for the amount of customer's. Example you have a host, waitresses/waiters, cooks, dishwashers and so on. So I find this to be less stressful, however you do have to do the corporate lingo, and it's annoying. At family owned places for example I might be the hosts, dishwasher, waitress, and to go person. The cook is often the only other person in the building. This is very frustrating to both me and the customers when busy. However I must say that I enjoyed the atmosphere so much better. So it's a trade off. And unfortunately corporate often pays much better. I once had a slow job, I stood at a cash register for 8 hours. And I might have 1 customer a day, if that. I was required to look busy, but couldn't leave the register. I will say that the table beside it glows from my polishing all day. I hated it. Now I worked as a manager for a family owned subway once, best job I ever had. I could help when busy and hid in the back doing prep (very mind numbing) when I wanted to. I have found that I really enjoy mind numbing jobs, yes I will polish your silver all day, clean the nity gritty no problem… But I hate dishes, lol. I am very outgoing, so I enjoy people and those kinda jobs, but I have days when people are just too much as well. Found that I need something to do at work, I don't enjoy being bored, helps the time pass. I always just wanted to have a balance. Guess that's why I work for myself now. I have the luxury of being live and working with people or just being Recluse and making videos.
As someone who has been a barista and am now a bartender, it really depends on the place! I’m inclined to say bartending is harder because you’re dealing with drunk people on top of the actual labor of it, but I’ve been a bartender way longer than I was a barista. Of course the money is WAY better as a bartender 😅

My family goes to Renaissance faires in July and go to the Bristol Ren Faire in wisconsin. Im always a half orc half hobbit warrior. When my kids were younger they liked to dress up. Now they are preteens and are in that whole zone but they admit they still really like going every year. I say by time they are in their 20s they may want to dress up again.
