you can bait the enemy to attack by having lower defense and use squat to proc it's effect to instantly matching up enemy attack to block them and gain stamina so that you can dodge if you have to push for damage. good video btw!!
Second comment for the heck of it
I think this kinda outlined the core flaw I see in this game so far, and that's just a lot of Dead Turns. You are not only at the Mercy of the dice roll, but also the dice colour. having 30 potential faces to roll means the average is even lower than normal dice rolls, and that's already RNG hell. But, the game still seems fun, despite the flaw. Hopefully this continues!

Does it not show you what move they're going to do with that little arrow I mean there were many times you've built up block but they weren't even attacking

This game rocks
This is such a genuinely fun game to watch. Love seeing the enemy change intent as the player moves dice around, seeing that they can choose different outcomes.
Shark man seems like he has two really good skills in his massive debuff attack and the dodge that gives you stamina. You can bait a strike from the enemy, dodge it and walk into the next round with 2 free stamina and two extra attack. Then use that to draft a big speed die, go first and slap them with a huge hit that nerfs the stats. Pretty cool in and out of combat play style that really captures the swashbuckler dance or the movement of the waves in character form.
Looks like a great game would watch more. Normally not too fond of dice games but it looks like there's a lot of depth beyond just the dice aspect and the move sets are intriguing.

I'm giving it a 65% chance Randall is the twist villain. For one, he's loaded with Amsidian, and as far as we know the only people mining the stuff is Badger Co, so perhaps he's the mastermind pulling the strings behind all of this. Also, his design just looks to villanous to be trustworthy.

I'm sure I'd miss even more if the tables were turned, but this was the first "scream at the screen" Retromation video for me.
Resources are treated like they're so valuable they can never be spent, but when given an ability to gain them for free (stamina), it goes unused.. even while still trying to save resources.
