4. Omega's Hometown is an absolutely crazy project. I love it. But what makes it even more crazy is how close it is to me. I know the town it actually is, and my own hometown's name can even be seen on some of the road signs – it feels surreal to see that in AC

9. Whoa! Eläintarha has been updated. At least I think so because my earlier version was "?" and this is "1.01". Such a legendary track for me because I've lived all my life in Helsinki but born in 80s. It's so cool to drive this because there are familiar landmarks which I recognize like Olympic Stadium and also some roads has stayed the same, but overall the surrounding area has seen big changes.

   Sadly it was too dangerous track to drive. There were races from 1932 to 1963 and there had been several fatal accidents, but after the accident and death of Swedish Örjan Atterberg in the start of 1963 they red flagged the race and decided not to race there anymore. After that they made much safer track to Keimola, which can also be found from AC 😀

   There has been race arranged three times since 1963 to honour its memory. The first time was in 1982, then 1992 and the last time was in 2002 and in the 1992 event the great Juan Manuel Fangio was present.

   The name "Eläintarha" means "Zoo" in English but there actually haven't been Zoo around there. They made a park over there in 1850s and original name was "Töölönpuisto" (the area where the park is, is named Töölö and "puisto" means "park"). At some point in 1870s people started to call it "Eläintarha" after the Swedish counterpart Djurgården in Stockholm and at 1909 they made "Eläintarha" the official name of the park. In 1889 they actually planned to open a zoo over there but instead of Eläintarha they made the zoo in Korkeasaari, Helsinki.

   Sorry about long message, but as Finn these tracks are so great for me. Assetto Corsa seems to be the only racing game you ever need because of the modding community. If there is a track you know, you propably are able to drive it in Assetto Corsa. 🙂

    Yes! The journey moves on with hometown 🙂 next up is an airport rework and new/more spawn points + other smaller improvements.
    Also soon I will start working on another track which will be completly free once finished – also in a similar style like hometown 🙌
