Community members RichKiller & ColdStoneTheGamer have recently discovered a new developer Easter Egg hidden within Black Ops 1 Zombies that was remastered for Zombies Chronicles that holds a LOT of super interesting Aether storyline lore and connections to real life conspiracy theories! This was staring right at our faces since BO1 Zombies and was remastered in BO3 for us to see this detail and talk about it! Especially with the developer James Dargie!

  1. This find isn't a EE quest or anything close to the extent as the recent BO4 EE's but this tiny detail was hidden by a single developer in BO1 and then remastered in BO3 for us to notice and it is SO cool to see this influence in the story slotted in SO early in the Aether story! This find wouldn't have been possible without RichKiller & ColdstoneTheGamer so huge shoutout and credit to them for the find and explanation in this video, we just more or less present it in video-form with my own spin on things! Sit back and enjoy the video ☺

  2. 6:55 no he doesnt…. that is a popular phrase in gun ownership when talking about carrying a gun concealed without a permit or illegally…
"I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6."
"Judged by 12" meaning the jury of his peers if taken to trial for carrying illegally versus "carried by 6" meaning the pallbearers that carry you casket tot the grave because you were not carrying a gun and got in a gun fight and died…
better to be alive and in jail for having a gun than dead for not…

  3. Those early days were so good. With all the mysteries and creepy conspiracies it was so great. I think there's room for dragons and robots and aliens in zombies but maybe the execution was the problem. They should've worked those things in the same creepy way they did everything else.

  4. BO1 and BO2 zombies had so much passion put into the games. It's a shame that we've lost passionate devs over the years in favor of the company bottom line. During BO3 and after, the writing just went batshit crazy.

  5. The only problem I have with this video is the insinuation that the alien stuff was specifically in preparation for the Aether story. That specific story only came to be after the old lead writer was replaced starting with Mob of the Dead as far as I'm aware.

Also odd that you wouldn't mention the literal alien in a pod in Kino Der Toten which predates this paper.

  6. I don't think the line from Stuhlinger about being judged by 12 necessarily connects, since there are 12 people on a jury, which despite there being the separate role of judge, are the ones who truly judge you as it's up to them whether you're convicted when on trial. The rest of this sounds spot on, though.
