  1. Moms for Liberty is a serious problem. That is a Conservative organization that advocates things like book bans! just a brief search shows that they are not supportive of inclusion, either based on race or sexual preferences

  2. Gotta correct you on the I4 westbound thing. I live in Polk County and a drive into Disney takes 38 min with a drive home taking 2 hours. Most of that comes from a very stressful and congested multi-phase merge onto I4 WB. The traffic actually breaks up at Champions Gate an I can shoot the rest of the way home super fast.

  3. Love that Bob Igor said "In our zeal to grow profits, we may have been a little bit too aggressive about some of our pricing…I think there’s a way to continue to grow that business, but be smarter about how we price so that we maintain that brand value of accessibility."

  4. Tom, I was kind of hoping that you would have expounded more on the complaints from the first responders about the Disney-run RCID not providing them with what they feel is adequate staffing, and functioning equipment. You haven't been afraid to hold Disney management accountable with other issues, and rightly so, so I was surprised that you let that issue skate by uncritically.

  5. I just hope the new Reedy Creek board will stop the WOKE “Drag Princess show” that happens every day at the castle.

Wait. I’m being told that does not happen either.

Well I’m glad they’re putting a stop to it.

  6. So how exactly did Disney lower crowd levels before? Oh yeah they simply put a limit to how many can enter the parks, there was no reservation system it simply was a matter of "park is at capacity" and people got turned away or were pushed into other parks. Seems like they could use that system and simply lower what that "capacity" number is, now true reservations allow for them to stop that before people show up and are angry they can go to their favorite park, but it still was possible in the past. And I agree increase expense of the park is not a good way to do it (from a consumers perspective), nice that they at least acknowledge having tacky "add ons" like Genie+/Lightning Lane is a bit "too aggressive" (even though they don't mention them by actual name)

  7. They put a MOMS FOR LIBERTY co-founder in there? Oh no…. Disney is actually in trouble. They’re the ones behind so many of the horrible, regressive, hateful changes happening all over the country right now. They’re to be taken seriously and honestly the left needs to be organizing and acting as much and as fast as “moms for liberty” does lol I swear those people don’t sleep and they have MANY agendas

  8. One board member who is now on the goveners new board actually expressed an interest in cutting back fire services at RCID and shifting funds to Orange county. I'm not sure the new board is all the big improvement the fire department is hoping for.

  9. It's possible Disney is waiting for Epic Universe due to supply/demand issues. If they start expansion now, they'd need to compete against Comcast Universal for what might likely be the same construction contractors. By waiting, they might get them at a discount.

  10. I love the comment from the board member that people and corporations are not equal. It's Ron's belief, along with his party that corporations are equal to people. Read their endorsement of Supreme Court Citizens United decision. I actually agree with her but in actuality I don't think she agrees with herself.

  11. IMO the board is going to do everything they can to stick it to Disney. Dissolve LBV? BL? Change manhole covers? Really? In fairness I am sure the board members are competent in their concentrated fields. However they need to break free from Big Mama DaSan. (“Blink twice if you need help.”). Law licenses Florida style. Kidding/not kidding/sigh.

  12. You should register for W&D. I’ll be there. Hopefully I’ll be ab,e to meet you in person. W&D is one of my favorite races. You’ll enjoy it!! Be prepared on registration day. Create a runDisney account and be fast on registering. They tend to sell out quick and since Figment is featured, fans of his will register. I’ve been running runDisney races every year since 2009 and I don’t recall ever seeing him on a medal. I’m so excited. I used to just like him, but after learning about him more through this channel, he’s one of my favorites! Thank you!! Good luck at registration.

  13. While I do not disagree, about living wages…Tom, you really should stop harping on the salary issue when you have demonstrated that really don’t understand how the economy works. Just saying!

  14. I'm sorry but, on one hand you constantly complain about how the Walt Disney Company treats its cast members, especially in regards to pay and compensation, but then on the other hand you revere them and complain about how they're doing fine on their own, and how they don't need anyone making suggestions on how they run their business. Love your videos, but you need to stick to food and fairy dust, and not jump into politics, because it's not what you know, and it comes across as naive and amateurish. Stick to what you do best, because you're the best at what you do. (I mean that as a compliment and constructive criticism).

  15. Tom: I wish you would harp on the reduction of theming at existing Parks & Resorts and / or lack of theming at upcoming Resort / Vacation Club Properties. To me, this is harming the overall Disney experience / magic, more than any other single aspect of the state of happenings / things to come, with the exception of App-based bookings, timings, etc…

  16. One board member of the replaced Reddy Creek District belongs to an Alt Right group (moms for liberty) that promotes book banning and Ron Peri (the Gathering) is a pastor so they make perfect sense to oversee public works like fire departments, police, roads. So it makes perfect sense that their first order of business in trying to ban masks. Next they will try banning Winnie the Pooh for not wearing pants.

  17. The Reedy Creek meeting being held at The B Resort was the first sign of something going sideways.

If I could have the time off to do the Figment races, I'd give you the medal.

  18. Disney's "5th Gate" should be built in California or Texas NOT Florida. And that Lake Nona relocation should be halted. Those board dummies need to remember that Disney is a private corporation on private property.

  19. The point the lady on the board is making is that Disney should not be allowed to go backwards with masks and vaccination cards if there is another outbreak. Disney has said in the past they would bring them back if they felt they are needed.

  20. Tom you should 100% do the running! I love run Disney events and they are a lot of fun.
If you don’t want to run 19.3… the virtual medal and shirts are the same and you record your own run from home wink

  21. Things like Streetmosphere and Citizens of Main St are what used to set WDW apart from other theme parks. It’s so disappointing that they haven’t (and probably won’t) return.

  22. Think you could work your magic to get Package Pickup back?

Also whoever works in shipping items home needs to be retrained…twice we sent things home and they arrived DAMAGED…the second time was very upsetting because it was a painting signed by the artist…it was bent because the outer box was smaller than the box the painting was in 😡

I like some of the perspective projects but a lot as you said is not back

  23. I was at Hollywood Studios last week and was not impressed. I guess they’re trying to make it look like a real area with businesses closed? Lol. I miss the CMs greeting you on Hollywood blvd with the various skits and interactions 😢
