  1. Best Skywarden video yet. One A-10 correction…loiter time is 3.0 hrs and with a combat rated external tank it’s 4.0 hrs. Still not 6 though.

  2. Remember, the A 10 was designed to take on the HORDE of soviet tanks that they thought would come through the fulda gap, which why they wanted a gun that gun penetrate tanks, but that waas then, and this is now, there is no longer a horde of tanks that could come through the fulda gap, russia doesnt have as many takes anymore, also thanks to the Ukraine war, so the entire idea of the Hog aint all that relevant anymore.

  3. “Getting taken out by a crop duster” sounds like something that would happen in a mid south walmart around the 5th of may. Too many tacos and poor intestinal fortitude mixed with someone switching from natty light to Covid beer, there’s bound to be a war crime slip out of a turd cutter.

  4. What I'm about to say may upset you or fascinate you as a military history nerd. Back in the 80s, the Air Force was in the market for another cheap alternative to the A-10 for ground attack aircraft.

Piper (I barely know her!) Aircraft Corporation stood up and proposed a Turboprop version of the most iconic aircraft of WWII: The P-51. They called this aircraft "The Enforcer", and while it did NOT get the chance to export freedom it still has a TON of character. Love it
