Decided to switch things up a little for Krieg Week! Iβve delayed the painting of that amazing Lord Marshal Dreir for a few days because when I saw this new plastic Arvus Lighter, it seemed only right to steal it from Warhammer The Horus Heresy, and make it into something I will play with! And yes itβs playable in Warhammer 40k! My Death Korps of Krieg army just got even more aerial support!
This new plastic Arvus Lighter was kindly sent to us by @officialwarhammer!

May I recommend a slight change, rather than white and Yellow ink, try Tamiya XF-3 Yellow. It sprays very well and won't peal like the ink.
Looks amazing, would have used pigment too, but maybe 50-70% of what you used.
Not sure if it works but you could try spraying some glossy varnish to get rid of the foggy effect. I've done it on small areas and it's helped, but they haven't been transparent.
I don't have an Airbrush, but I'm strongly considering it, just need to find a compressor that is as quiet as possible and doesn't cost a small fortune, as I live in an apartment and you can almost hear the neighbors opening a can of beer, so a compressor will definitely be heard. But what I want to say with that is that I appreciate you taking yours out every now and then and showing me how to use it.
I have a low under desk pile of shame you have a floor to ceiling wall of shame, lol love it i hope mine grows to the same
So there are specific plastic glue for clear part now. As well as no fog ca. the trick with super glue is it βfogsβ as a byproduct of curing if you stick the glass then wait 5 days usually the ca had cured and it doesnβt fog since the vapor has aired out.
Please, for the love of all that is holy…. quit saying "CHEVRON"!!!!! If it is NOT a 'V' then it is just a stripe.
edit: I couldn't make it past the 8:30 mark due to the constant use of the word "chevron"…. I am sure it is nice and all but you just painted hazard stripes and then misused military terminology.
Gorgeous model! The hazard stripes are awesome; great effect.
Amazing job Andy, such a shame you had the mishap with the canopy I hope you fix it ok. I know you try not to airbrush too much on the channel but I still find them interesting when you do, Iβd certainly like to utilise it more and anything that helps with that is appreciated.
Dam knocked it out of the park againβ¦. Now I need to pick an arvus up πgreat paint job β¦ great video thanks for sharing π»π»π»π»π»π»ππ¬π§
Love the channel and have enjoyed this week of kreig.just a suggestion, but I think the fogging on the glass kinda gives it a bit of a weathered look as if it's been used in many a deployment.keep up the great work, looking forward to the next video.
Great video, tempted to pick up an Arvus to be scenery on my Zone Mortalis board
Yes, lovely work on the hazard stripes- 'bout time I tried some inks (just as the local Hobbycraft reduce their range!)….
I dotted every rivet on a baneblade in gold and yup it was a pain in the bum
I love they brought this back, I don't play HH but I've always liked these silly little flyers.
12:08 I wouldn't go as thick as you do, but the weathering powder on the aircraft makes a lot of sense if you've seen how helicopters in Iraq collect dust and dirt despite constant maintenance. Then again, even though I said I wouldn't go as thick as you, we don't know what space dirt your Krieg are marching, driving and flying around so for your own canon this could be completely logical.
That's a nice Ork vehicle you have there. π
Itβs fun to see you go hard on the airbrush in this video. It does make it simpler and more importantly a much more even coat on such a large, angular model such as a vehicle.
At that age these crates would have been repaired ten times over (or even 'chopped' and rebuilt altogetherπ±π±) I am very surprised (but over the Moon π) these little things are out in plastic β€π Already ordered my first ππ
Take it from me, 5 minutes into an exercise (in the 1980's), not to mention actual action, military kit looks like sh1t π±ππ
It's great to see these 30k Auxila vehicles coming out, truly, but I will be very happy once a Command group and (even more important for me) the support weapon teams for my boys to be fully equipped to face all comers πππ
This is sick!
nice
Looks amazing! Love your krieg army
I love this model so much, I just don't have any army to field it.
HEY, what happened to giving away a titan at the end of the year ?
They gift it to you? Still on pre order for me
Incredible work.
can people please stop pronouncing it corpse…..
I like the weathering , but not the color of it
Nice job over all
An airbrush is an awesome tool! Nice paint scheme and a cracking model
Awesome job as always! I really like the Arvus Lighter, is it the same size as your Forge World one?
Always had soft spot for the Arvus !
