Never Again: The Fight Against Antisemitism

In a powerful new documentary, Josh Frydenberg investigates the devastating impact of antisemitism on Australia.

For the former Treasurer of Australia, this issue goes beyond politics. It is about the kind of country Australia should be.

Following the devastating attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists on October 7 last year, the documentary examines the rise in hostility towards Jewish people taking place around the world at levels not seen since the Holocaust.

From the steps of the Sydney Opera House to the heartland of Melbourne’s Jewish community in Caulfield, the escalation of antisemitism has been widespread and violent.

The incitement has not only been seen through violent demonstrations but in the desecration of national monuments, interruption of major events, the boycott of Jewish owned businesses, doxing of Jewish artists and harassment of community members.

Through a reflective and, at times, emotional lens Josh speaks on the rising tide of antisemitism with prominent Australians, among them Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton, former prime ministers John Howard and Julia Gillard, Olympic champion and former senator Nova Peris, former governor-general Peter Cosgrove, award-winning Australian music artist Deborah Conway and survivors of the Holocaust.

  1. Enough is enough. Universities already ruined this country by making housing crisis worse. The only ones benefiting from international students are them and in return this chaos is what they return to Australia. Repatriate the students protesting, it is illegal to participate in protests while on student visa

  2. Anitsemitism is raising because of what's happening in Israel between Israel and the Palestinians. People can't distinguish between being a Jewish person as a religion and being a citizien of Israel. That's something totally different.

  3. Australia should start a movement similar to what Tommy Robinson is doing in the UK. Im a new Aussie, moved from Kerala India. It is disgusting to see people who benefit from this country, take everything it has to offer and return this hate and rhetoric.

Now there's 100x footage on Internet of Israeli apartheid, genocidal intent, totturre, killing innocents, 'death to Arabs ' who are also senites btw. politicians saying 'river to the sea' not in the liberation sense but the eradication of Palestinians. Netanyahu showing a map where Gaza doesn't even exists! Ohh and why the monopolisation of the word 'anti semetic' where its only applicable if u criticise israel?

  5. I am so disapointed with how our Government handled the Antisemitism in this Country and didn't speak out more firmly against those on the streets and thier Lawless behaviour towards the Jewish and Australian people and didn't do more for our Jewish Community to make them feel safe. We have a weakend Government only trying to apese a minority fearing the aggression they will bring on them if they stand up against them.

  8. A great documentary , thank you Josh Frydenberg. The worst bit is Albo pretending to care about anti-semetism and doing nothing about it except saying to call it out. Hullo Albo, you are the leader and you didn't even do anything about the greens senator from W.A. who called out from the river to the sea. Please stand up and do something. This whole thing is getting out of hand and the majority of Australians stand with our Jewish members.
