A doorbell cam captured the wholesome moment an Amazon delivery driver wary of a dog sitting on the porch overcame his fear and approached the pooch for a cute conversation. In the sweet video, captured in Kansas City, Missouri, the driver, Eric, is seen approaching eight-year-old Grace, a rescued pitbull mix, who was waiting on her porch. Initially apprehensive over the dog, Eric says, โ€œHi, pretty,โ€ and then asks, โ€œAre you friendly?โ€ He then proclaims, โ€œI feel like youโ€™re notโ€ฆโ€ before slowly approaching the house. As he does so, Eric notice Grace is, in fact, more than happy to make friends with him, so he introduces himself with โ€œHi, Iโ€™m Ericโ€ before placing the package down and letting a waggy tailed Grace say hello. Graceโ€™s owner Ashley Gore, 38, was in the back yard when the moment took place and later discovered the wholesome video on her Ring camera, which she shared with friends and family on social media.

  1. It is so irresponsible to tie a dog to a house all alone during the day! What if he gets attacked by another dog? What if there is a fire? He will have no way to get away.

  2. I love that he told her "you're so pretty"…even when he was unsure of her nature. He talked to her like he would talk to his own dog…which put her at ease. Hopefully, the dog just "got out" and isn't always just left loose like that though.

  3. Is it possible that through experiences of past trauma, one might develop a greater likelyhood of of mistrust? Therefore, victims of abuse and trauma behave at an elevated state of defensiveness? May the Lord continue to protect his family from the mistreatment and harm inflicted from any who abuse; Peace of the Lord be with us ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธโ˜ฎ๏ธ๐ŸŒโœจ๏ธ

  4. Perhaps delivery companies could do training with employees who have to come across dogs daily. Have a dog trainer or behaviorist do a workshop so that they can recognize a dog that is threatened or friendly and how to respond for their own safety, and for the dogs. Not everyone would handle it like this guy.
