  1. Great video man!!! Just getting started in blade smithing and I've got a question for you or anyone in the comments. I have some coil spring (.75" diameter). If I want more width in my billet, could I flatten, cut and stack it for greater width? Essentially a layered monosteel.

  2. Thank you for putting this out here for us to see. I love your vibe and I appreciate the extra effort to put out this material. I hope you don’t mind I ask some questions. It looks like you don’t have as much scale occurring during forging as I have. Is there a trick to that or are you cleaning it off camera? I really appreciate you and your spirit. The world is better with you in it. Thank you!

  3. Just found you good sir. New sub👍. You're a blast to watch, thank you! Actually, I was born in Hawaii. In 1962, I'm a military brat. Hopefully I'll get to visit the islands before my time and shake your hand. 🤝

  4. The technique you described for standing close to the forge and the hammer being weightless kinda reminds me of a taiko drummer who gave us a lesson on how to strike the drums, lift it up and then control the drop with a kind of flick at the end.
