This video definitely deserves more views and I hope people jump on and subscribe. I love it when you do videos in this format. It's chill and laid back with tons of actual useful and applicable knowledge.
Great video man!!! Just getting started in blade smithing and I've got a question for you or anyone in the comments. I have some coil spring (.75" diameter). If I want more width in my billet, could I flatten, cut and stack it for greater width? Essentially a layered monosteel.
Thank you for putting this out here for us to see. I love your vibe and I appreciate the extra effort to put out this material. I hope you don’t mind I ask some questions. It looks like you don’t have as much scale occurring during forging as I have. Is there a trick to that or are you cleaning it off camera? I really appreciate you and your spirit. The world is better with you in it. Thank you!
great video man, im 100 percent self taught which means i dont know shit. videos like this help a ton
Thanks for the video. Amazing how close you forged it to the final shape. I hope you post a part two where you finish the knife.
Very informative 🤙
Great Choice of music. It was so relaxing
Definitely love the way you work bro !
I would love to come from France and learn by your side !
Best regard my friend and thanks for the lesson
Heck yeah!
The best one! Love from Italy!!
Gracias Maestro, es impagable lo que usted enseña, saludos cordiales desde Argentina, Dios lo bendiga siempre 🙏🏽
That empty drum for seeing heat colors is genius. I need to find some room for something like that next to my forge.
This video is worth every second and really enjoyed it. Please keep making videos and even if they are just about you guys running for a bet, I will surely watch them.
Awesome job. That thing looks awesome.
Hey, could you please make a video describing the absolute basics of tools like hammers etc one needs to get into forging in your opinion? Thanks in advance!
Definitely like your videos, and the explanation to thing's. I appreciate you taking us inside your everyday life.
Just found you good sir. New sub👍. You're a blast to watch, thank you! Actually, I was born in Hawaii. In 1962, I'm a military brat. Hopefully I'll get to visit the islands before my time and shake your hand. 🤝
Awesome, ya gotta coal iron forge press, I have a sweet 16 myself.
Brah Greetings from a smaller Island wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience.
Awesome forging video! Very inspiring! Can't wait to see what the next steps on this knife are!
The puppies follow the master,! You're the alpha
The technique you described for standing close to the forge and the hammer being weightless kinda reminds me of a taiko drummer who gave us a lesson on how to strike the drums, lift it up and then control the drop with a kind of flick at the end.
Thanks Neil and co that’s an excellent video! A lot of good tips in this one 👍⚒
Great work mate. Would love to see handle making for said knife.
Ty. Enjoyed your video. Appreciated the exposition. Look forward to your next installment.
Great video! I appreciate the education Neil & Co. Now when I go back to watch movies with dudes forging I can laugh at how bad they are lol.
