Navy Football Head Coach Brian Newberry looks ahead to this Saturday’s matchup with Notre Dame in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland, while reflecting on his eagerness entering his first season leading the Midshipmen.
Navy Football offers a unique game day atmosphere and pageantry that dates back to 1879. The Midshipmen enter their 143rd season of competition. On December 19, Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk introduced Newberry as the 40th head coach in program history. Newberry had served as defensive coordinator from 2019-2022.
The Mids’ first game is against Notre Dame in Dublin, Ireland on August 26. The home opener is against Wagner on September 9.
