Hello everyone!
Today, we’re implementing a nature reserve our duplicants will be forces to got through every cycle. Hope you enjoy!:)

Oxygen Not Included is a space-colony simulation game. Deep inside an alien space rock your industrious crew will need to master science, overcome strange new lifeforms, and harness incredible space tech to survive, and possibly, thrive.

In Oxygen Not Included you’ll find that scarcities of oxygen, warmth and sustenance are constant threats to your colony’s survival. Guide colonists through the perils of subterranean asteroid living and watch as their population grows until they’re not simply surviving, but thriving…
Just make sure you don’t forget to breathe.
Build Extensive Bases and Discover What it Takes to Survive:
Everything in your space colony is under your control, from excavation and resource allocation right down to plumbing and power systems. Resources will begin depleting with your first breath, however, so be sure to dig fast if you want to live.
It’s Mind Over Matter with Stress Simulations:
Keep the psychological impact of survival at bay with fun leisure activities, great accommodations and even better food for your colony. Duplicants each have different and potentially destructive ways of reacting to stress, so be sure to always keep them happy. Whatever the cost.
Avoid Boiling with Thermodynamics:
Temperature control is a constant concern in space; too cold and you’ll freeze, too hot and you’ll fry. Keep tabs on ambient environmental temperatures and your colony’s heat production to maintain a nice, cozy atmosphere for your colonists.
Enhance Efficiency through Complex Gas and Liquid Simulations:
Create interlocking pipe systems to swiftly deliver fuel and liquid to critical areas of your base. Plan well and be rewarded as your colony transforms into an imperishable, well-oiled machine.
Take Charge with Power Grid Simulations:
Choose from a multitude of power sources including coal, hydrogen, natural gas or just plain old elbow grease. Manage power runoff, circuit overloads and meltdowns to keep your colony running smoothly.
Always Keep Yourself Breathing:
Enter the Oxygen Overlay and watch air moving through your base in real-time. Monitor carbon dioxide accumulation and oversee oxygen generation processes to mold your colony into a veritable deep-space oasis.
Waste Nothing through Extreme Recycling:
Make use of every last resource for a base that truly exemplifies efficiency. Recycle waste into precious fuel, process unbreathable gas into air, or harness the natural bodily processes of wild creatures for food. If you’re clever, you might even be able to run a base off colonist farts.
Explore Diverse, Procedurally Generated New Worlds:
Summon new worlds with a push of a button. Experience tons of untamed space rocks, then suffocate to death in them!

Spaced Out DLC:
The Duplicants are back again, and this time they’re ready to rebuild their colonies from the mysterious remains of a planet torn asunder!
In Oxygen Not Included: Spaced Out! you’ll spearhead space missions to new and undiscovered Planetoids, transport resources between bases, and manage multiple worlds on the fly to build a megacolony that not only survives but hopefully, thrives.
New Multi-World Gameplay
Put your colony management skills to the test by juggling the needs of Duplicants in multiple colonies simultaneously. Switch between planets in real-time and secure rare resources on other worlds to supply your home base.
Expanded Rocketry
Customize new modular rockets to your liking, then explore the expanse of space with the newly overhauled Starmap. Huge expansions to the Research Tree provide new mid-game Rocketry options, giving your Duplicants an edge in the asteroid space-race.
New Critters
Get acquainted with some new fuzzy friends – if you’re nice, they might help you out around the colony!

  1. Why messing around with frozen-sterile food-storage? Instead, change to Berry Sludge straight away!
I just did it few days ago, inspired by you, you've mention that in like 20 episodes ago…
This is really easy and save so much headache in so many ways!

You can't call it The Ultimate Base without it!

  2. Another great episode! I never understand how you do so many revisions to your base and don’t lose your mind. When I did play this game, I used to never fix old piping, rooms, furniture, or anything because it all seemed Ike a nightmare tearing things up to replace them again lol. But I remember you said like two “seasons” ago that you find it satisfying!

Also: thank u for installing the phones for the dupes. It’s a silly thing to be invested in, I know, so I’m glad you indulged me 🙂

  3. The cracked tile was from the seeds just laying there. I'm excited to see how the base evolves, maybe you can do natural tiles in the floor or air so the dupes don't have to climb? Like a hanging plant if in the air? idk how pips work though.

  4. Great video as always. If you move the copper tiles 2 tiles up, you will be able to have a nature reserve that dupes can run trough without getting slowed down 🙂

  5. Why dont you use the heat produced by the metal refinery to further heat up the steam in the basement?

for example run the poluted water that comes out of the metal refinery at a high temperature through the Thermo Aquatuner

  6. Why you fly from main planetoid? Can't you take off from 2nd planetoid, release drons and go back to surface? Materials if needed can be send tho planetary delivery

  7. For future reference, there's a mod called 'Critter Inventory' that let's you add critters to your item list on the right of your screen. It's very useful for searching for those missing pips!

  8. I dont think that having walkthru bedrooms is good idea. They will keep interupting each others sleep all the time when changing shifts. Its kinda better to build them into column. Also… pls level the ground in natural reserve, these down/up/down/up/down steps are hurting my OCD 😀

Good idea would be having 2 columns with ladder/pole in middle that act as natural reserve, and having bedrooms on both sides, so they are not walkthru. And outer wall of bedrooms have window tiles that connects into big water pool where fish can live (great decor, swag, and food at same time).

By the way, you dont need any pictures or statues in bedroom, just gold metal tiles alone will max out decor bonus there (and if theres need for decor item for bedroom, just use that small corner thingy near ceiling). Anything over 120 or so have no effect. Morale bonus for decor is calculated average from enviroment where dupe is thru whole cycle, so when you later add more golded modules, it will increase the average too (toilets, great hall, ranches, farms… add few gold tiles to all of these places and ya get tons of free morale).

  9. I don't know if you'll see this here or in the hot polluted oxygen tamer you did, but here's reposting –
A better hot oxygen tamer without niobium/thermium would have been run radiant copper pipes with naptha (since you have no oil) through hooked up to an AT/turbine, that would cool it down real quick. Let the Poxygen rise in a contained room segment with airflow tiles on the top. In the room segment above that, have mesh tiles on the bottom, which would be on top of the airflow tiles of the geyser chamber. Fill the mesh tiles with some naptha so the poxygen cannot get through. On top of that, have your deoderizers served by automation, guaranteed only pure oxygen and clay coming through since they can reach through the liquids in the mesh tiles and grab the polluted oxygen below. You could then send the clay to a contained kiln room for automatic ceramics production.
This is ESPECIALLY powerful with polluted water vents, but those need some snaking to handle overflow and not be built directly on top of the vent. The one I built in a previous game was good enough to choke out my SPOM and making 2400KG of ceramics per cycle on average.

  10. You get more decor out of window tiles than metal ones. The statues and things will shine thru them into the other room(s). So, you one statue becomes 2. And so on. I do and my Dupes morale always end up over 60.

  11. so i noticed my glitched rover last episode an now mine is gone completely. no broken body to deconstruct. maybe theres solar power? he seemed to last until all my storages up top got filled. dunno. all i know is he ran for 30 or 40 cycles on the top an when i noticed he finally died all my storages were full. maybe he died when he went to the lower level? no idea
