I hope this type of coverage can help debunk the Trump and MAGA rhetoric that NATO countries are not carrying their weight in the alliance. There are some laggard nations still but hopefully pressure from European peer allies will invent those countries to carry their fair share. This contribution issue addressed is one less talking point for stubborn, tone deaf, isolationist agenda of MAGA extremists. That group lets Trump lead them by the nose so easily….

Actually Trump is helping Europe. It is about time that Europe starts to realize the need for reform around defense policies and politics. Instead of independent budgets per country and independent defense planning, it would be better to make a European defense policy, standardise and focus on better investments at a larger scale. The dependency of Europe on the USA has taken far too long. However, that being said, the joint forces of a stronger Europe combined with USA capabilities means a stronger defense for it joint and common values on democracy and freedom.

Well, Jens, NATO was "taking peace for granted," for decades, up through 2022. Trump vehemently told the UN and the world that NATO is not ready, that too many EU nations were not spending appropriately enough, money on defense. Trump also stated that NATO was spending the money on the wrong things, spending too much on "butter," and, not enough on "guns." TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING. Putin and Xi have been playing the Biden administration and NATO like a fiddle, just as they did with Obama.
