  1. There is no doubt that Ty GIbbs is a talent, but if the commentators do not continue to focus on him as much as they do, they are going to ruin him in public opinion. Just like Tiger Woods was almost ruined in the public eye, Gibbs will end up the same way. When Woods was playing the first couple of years of his pro career, he could be 10 shots out in a tournament and they would broadcast every single shot he hit while ignoring the leader board or others who were playing. In NASCAR, the field is full and every driver out there has fans. I feel that the racing mid pack in this race would have been really good to race as well as that in the front of the field, but we saw very little of it because the focus of the broadcasters was constantly on what Ty Gibbs was doing. I would be willing to bet that his name was mentioned at least twice as many times as anyone else in the race. When he was in fifth place, the attention was on him. Even during the last few laps of the race, when Kyle Larson was in the lead and racing hard to beat Almindinger, the bulk of the conversation was about Gibbs. Give us, and him, a break please. Enough is enough and him being the center of focus for the television broadcasts does absolutely nothing for his popularity nor for the viewers of the races.

  2. If this was Chastain, Dale Jr would be all over him for doing this!!! Such a hypocrite. Gibbs is there because of his grandfather, period. Again, if it was Chastain everyone would be blaming him and calling for a suspension. This is what has killed NASCAR, nepotism.

  3. How amazing, the commentators…seemed to know what was being said immediately after the race by Chase, Rick, and Jeff. Are they clairvoyant? Instead of commenting on the classy statement Chase actually made, Rick Allen has to…being the typical hack that he is…lead the way in deciding what he is making up is more accurate.
BOO NBC for continuing to use a bottom dweller like Allen. This is why I usually turn off the tv audio and listen to SiriusXM.
