Rounding up the stories from the last couple of weeks, among many rocket launches we have the arrival of Korea’s Danuri spacecraft into lunar orbit. There were 3 SpaceX launches within 36 hours, multiple launches by China and a couple of european launches.
There were also some big financial stories about acquisitions and the US funding for NASA and Space Force.

Leaving samples to be picked-up at a later date is silly, any mission that is going to pick-up these samples and return to Earth will have much better tech to gather samples than what is left there today.

Good, screw the government. If they can't steal less from the American people and stop printing and borrowing, they shouldn't be able to fund their pet projects.
I don't understand why they are dropping these martian soil sample tubes all over the desert. it would be much easier to put them on in open box on the back of the rover and then to go get them, if the sample return mission is ever done. Much easier to locate the old rover than some small tubes all over the palace in the middle of nowhere.

The US spending bill is a big JOKE. While NASA gets less cash, foreign aid is sky rocketing – literally.
I'm sure this has been asked but could they not use Ingenuity to try to blow off dust on Insight and get more life out of it?

In regards to that coolant leak, that occurred during the Geminid Meteor shower that peaked on Dec 14. The same day that the Soyuze started to show the leak.
Thank you Scott for all of the space news you provided this year! I love it when you get so excited about the events that you can barely talk. It reminds me of a sports announcer, except for the fact that I'm not as interested in watching sports.
