Nasa Perseverance Mars rover begins key journey to find life – BBC News

Nasa’s Perseverance rover has reached a big moment in its mission to find evidence of life on Mars.

The robot will begin to climb up an ancient delta feature in the crater where it landed, stopping to examine rocks that could possibly retain evidence of life.

On its way back down, Perseverance will collect some of these rocks, placing the samples at the base of the delta to be retrieved by later missions.

The goal is to bring this material back to Earth in the 2030s for detailed inspection.

    And We caused the Mount to tower above them at (the taking of) their covenant: and We bade them: Enter the gate, prostrate! and We bode them: Transgress not the Sabbath! and We took from them a firm covenant.

    Then because of their breaking of their covenant, and their disbelieving in the revelations of Allah, and their slaying of the prophets wrongfully, and their saying: Our hearts are hardened – Nay, but Allah set a seal upon them for their disbelief, so that they believe not save a few –

    And because of their disbelief and of their speaking against Mary a tremendous calumny;

    And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger – they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.

    But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, Wise.

    Lo! those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the way of Allah, they verily have wandered far astray.

    Lo! those who disbelieve and deal in wrong, Allah will never forgive them, neither will He guide them unto a road,

    [4:169]
    Except the road of hell, wherein they will abide for ever. And that is ever easy for Allah.

    O mankind! The messenger hath come unto you with the Truth from your Lord. Therefor believe; (it is) better for you. But if ye disbelieve, still, lo! unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. Allah is ever Knower, Wise.

    O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three" – Cease! (it is) better for you! – Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.

    The Messiah will never scorn to be a slave unto Allah, nor will the favoured angels. Whoso scorneth His service and is proud, all such will He assemble unto Him;

    Then, as for those who believed and did good works, unto them will He pay their wages in full, adding unto them of His bounty; and as for those who were scornful and proud, them will He punish with a painful doom. And they will not find for them, against Allah, any protecting friend or helper.

    O mankind! Now hath a proof from your Lord come unto you, and We have sent down unto you a clear light;

    As for those who believe in Allah, and hold fast unto Him, them He will cause to enter into His mercy and grace, and will guide them unto Him by a straight road.

    As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are as a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one supposeth it to be water till he cometh unto it and findeth it naught, and findeth, in the place thereof, Allah Who payeth him his due; and Allah is swift at reckoning.

    Or as darkness on a vast, abysmal sea. There covereth him a wave, above which is a wave, above which is a cloud. Layer upon layer of darkness. When he holdeth out his hand he scarce can see it. And he for whom Allah hath not appointed light, for him there is no light.

    Hast thou not seen that Allah, He it is Whom all who are in the heavens and the earth praise, and the birds in their flight ? Of each He knoweth verily the worship and the praise; and Allah is Aware of what they do.

    Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth. There is no god but He, The Mighty, The Wise. He does not resemble anyone of His creation. He created the angels from light. He created the heavens and the earth from smoke. He created animals and plants from water. He created the jinn from fire. He created Adam from dust. He created Eve from Adam’s rib. He created Jesus, the son of Mary, from a word He sent with Gabriel, peace be upon him, to the Virgin Mary, He created a serpent (a snake) from the staff of Moses, and with the same stick He split the sea into two parts, (each of them is like a great mountain), He created a female camel out of rock, He creates whatever He wills while He is upon  Everything is powerful. He revived the dead of a village (350 thousand) by one pray of one Prophet of the Children of Israel his Name is Ezekiel. He revived some of the dead by one pray of Jesus and a other one by one pray of Moses. He made the prophets speak to the dead.  Allah Almighty says to something Be, and it is.—

  34. Nossa ! Tira foto de si a distância sem braço robótico. Deve ser por drone? Tem alguma coisa anormal na produção dessas imagens. Enganam -nos facilmente Não devemos aceitar de bom grado tudo o que nos apresentam. Analisemos , comparemos imagens etc .

  39. How many rovers have we sent to Mars to search for life. Everyone knows if life is there it's already 6 meters underground. Why haven't they sent a single rover with a drill large enough? I'm starting to think these rovers are not searching for life at all. Seems they are just looking for ways to live there and find new minerals to dig up and use as fuel for humanity energy sources.

  40. They will never go into that doorway,check out that crab looking thing, or any of the other suspicious lookin things that have been photographed over the years on mars. Nasa will continue to play it safe as always. China will come through before the U.S. when it comes to proving life was or is,still there.
