  1. Folks, please don’t confuse the >26 nations that have signed onto the voluntary codes of behavior which HAPPEN to be called the Artemis Accords, with actual participation in NASA’s Artemis Program- which, right now, only includes Canada (hence, the Canadarm on Gateway, & the Canadian astronaut on the next Artemis mission around the moon); Japan/JAXA; & ESA. It is US Policy that any nation wanting to join in as a Partner on the Artemis Program MUST ALSO agree to sign & abide by the Artemis Accords of behavior. It was, in fact, the US stipulating the signing of the Artemis Accords as a condition of Artemis Partnership,- including its requirement for transparency-that led Russia to pull out of discussions to be part of Gateway. But, officially , the AAs are a set of voluntary, standalone , international codes of behavior, not directly attached to, or controlled by, any one country. E.g., India has signed AAs- but is not part of the Artemis PROGRAM (at least, not yet). – Dave Huntsman

  2. After china beating USA with the first methane rocket to space I'm kinda up in the air about the first base on the moon Im Thinking the way NASA USA has been slacking and even after letting outside companies help they still have not dropped their prices even after space x has proven it can be done cheaper and this will be china edge because all the hard work has been done and china is known for being able to do cheap and fast.
