After Pune, another tragic hit-and-run occurred in Nagpur involving a car of six allegedly drunk friends driving onto a footpath, killing a Rajasthan family’s man and woman. Fifteen others were injured near Dighori toll Plaza on June 16. Driver Bhushan Lanjewar, allegedly intoxicated, fled after running over the victims repeatedly. Police arrested Lanjewar, a fire engineer, and his friends, charging them under IPC Section 304 (II). Seven remain critically injured.
