One of Petrova’s best career wins, this was an incredible serving display from her, losing serve just twice in a two hour match. You can see how Petrova’s defense and overall game had improved significantly since their match in Philadelphia the previous year.
Still, the after effects of her Olympic losses are visible – she looks rather listless and muted here. However, she gives us what is maybe my favorite Myskina moment ever: her eye roll and stare at 23:28. Priceless. Can someone make a meme of out that please?
