Cool
jitterless??
This is EXCELLENT. $5K is still a little steep for a lot of us to buy, but i envision that local rental houses will make this an inexpensive rental package in the near future
nice. does it support vive trackers 2 (2018 models)?
You said genlock helps immensely with jitter but is a quadro gpu still the best option when it comes to performance? Or would a 3090 be just as adequate with this system?
Cool. Still jitters around 8:20 tho
Very interested in playing with this. What type is your timecode input jack? I am assuming I can use tentacle sync's for timecode input. Also what is the latency rate for the timecode. IN other words, how long once timecode it sync'ed to it will it start losing the lock?
Keep it up Ramiro! Great editing and music !!!
Wow this is a game changer, especially for smaller productions once more people start learning the system. The virtual lights have a lot of potential too.
Also, I have to know what kind of mic the guy is using from 4:50 onward?
This is amazing! This has me more excited than any camera and for 5k it’s very affordable!
Cost $$$ ?
we need full tutorial setup from A to Z ♥♥
Super cool interview!
What's the lens encoder name or the provider name he mentioned? Didn't get the name.
Anyone?
I think Mars CamTrak is really great for education. But 5K is too much for this semi-professional system :-/. It's not accurate enough for feature films, but good enough to learn the principles of VP. I was expecting a price between 1,5K – 2,5K for this set. Hopefully, HTC will sell smaller sets for people who have already some Lighthouse station and Vive tracker at home.
OK, so I got the lens encoder… Ordered the Vive Mars package… now.. the waiting game begins lol 🙂 can't wait to see the results… I am already using vive trackers with my mocap suit, for props, and it works great, If this can be a game changer vs. buying an optitrack or vicon system @ 60K us … then the 6K (In Canada it's 6600$) will be well worth it.. and will allow me to get a bigger LED setup 🙂 🙂 🙂
Why would I use this over the Retracker Bliss for virtual production? I’m starting to get into VP and it looks like Retracker Bliss has more bang for the buck.
But currently, anything over $1000 is out of the budget for me until I can start making money with VP. I ordered 3 Tundra Trackers and I’m gonna get 2 Index Base Station 2.0 to use with Unreal Engine 5. I think total cost for that is roughly $700. That’s gonna be my setup until I can afford a better solution.
