  1. Lot of nostalgia here. Back when I played these, the internet had yet to be as widespread as it is nowadays. Most of the info I got was through magazines. This was back when I lived in Ecuador and the magazine I was most familiar with was called Club Nintendo (basically Latin America's version of Nintendo Power). Now, I remember there being an article or two about some of these games coming out, so I was aware that they were being developed. I wouldn't be able to actually read the magazine every month, however. I seem to recall a particularly long span of time during which I did not lay eyes on it, so I missed out on… quite a lot of news, as you might expect.

Imagine my surprise when I walked into the local Blockbuster and they had Banjo-Tooie, Perfect Dark, and Majora's Mask on the shelves hahah. That kind of thing ain't something I experience nowadays very much. Even if I'm not actively looking for news of certain games I'm interested in, I end up hearing about it through social media osmosis. Doesn't really bother me. Hell, I'd say it helps… Closest example I can think of is Elden Ring. I very much enjoy Fromsoft's games, and was of course looking forward to Elden Ring. That said, beyond watching a trailer or two, I didn't seek out more information. I find that this way, I don't agonize over the wait for a game's release.

Anyways, apologies for the long post. All of this was ultimately reminiscing about a time when things were truly unexpected…

  2. Jesus aged christ, Simmons absolutely cannot play an FPS on a controller to save his life, shit is painful to watch. Like I get it, it's clunky and very dated, but this man from what I've seen should just stick to platformers cause he's terrible at shooters.

  3. Wow. Never really thought about it but yeah Kazooie AND Tooie crushes Mario 64. Graphically speaking, anyways. Granted, a bit biased given this is my favorite game of all time and Mario 64 is my third favorite. Despite that, there is so much powerful than 64. But this did come out in 2001 and 64 was a fucking launch title.
