This unique house, crowned with a turret, has stood empty for many years. Inside its quiet rooms, the absence is felt deeply. But what lingers most are the signs of the family who once lived here — a family of British descent, with a clear love for travel. Their fascination with Asia, particularly the Philippines, is woven into the details scattered throughout the home.
Yet, the reason for its abandonment remains a mystery. Renovation costs could be astronomical, perhaps enough to leave it behind. But was this their primary home, or merely a retreat for holidays?
Today, on this cold winter morning in France, we step inside to seek the answers, within the walls of this mystical house.

  2. One from the archives? I love the sideboard. The charcoal in the fridge is to keep natural odors down. Very British to have the clothes washer in the kitchen. The Godin stove is really pretty. The picture of QEII is massive! The clowns are creepy. The amount of mold and decay is crazy! I like the ceiling lamp that looked like cala lilies. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us.   14. As usual France yields another cozy little home. My mind's eye can only see how pretty this little place was in its beginning. So much detail the tiles in the midst of decay just stand out and shine. The Calla Lily shades on the chandelier just a beautiful touch. Always so much to see in these small spaces that no doubt someone loved very much at one time. Thank you for bringing this little cottage in France back to life for us today.

  30. Hey Maureno, Explomo, I had to rewatch this amazing shorter explore video, because during the lifestream it is more difficult to see interesting details. Although there was already so much decay visible, I was still able to see a lot of beauty behind the decay. – So my favourite room was that still well preserved living room under the small tower with that fascinating high ceiling. – There was also some really nice furniture and various beautiful items visible throughout the location.

    Gratamente sorprendida con esta exploración, una casa pequeña pero con mucho para ver.
    Como siempre la caminata antes de llegar al lugar y ver la casa ,hace que sientas la emoción de estar explorando con ustedes. La primera vista de la casa con el patio con rastros de nieve es hermosa.
    La casa es pequeña, pero encantadora, sobre todo el salón con cielo en forma de torre.
    La naturaleza y el clima están haciendo estragos, los hongos negros impactantes.
    Me llamó la atención que siendo una casa pequeña tuviera dos salones y dos comedores, seguramente uno era para uso diario y otro para recibir visitas.
    Muy lindos los muebles de madera, los aparadores tallados de la cocina, la vitrina para la cristalería, la estufa Godin, etcétera.
