My Workflow for adding new audio tracks to my DJ collection, August 2022

During this stream I explain what the philosophy is behind my workflow. This also explains how the various tools I’ve developed are meant to work together.
I consider these workflow streams the final phase of any beta’s of my tools, so things can go wrong during the stream.

My base is
• iTunes is my collection manager (=create playlists and common tags)
• All tracks are stored on a AppleShare File Server (=external drive)
• Traktor is my base DJ software with a Pioneer CDJ-3000 kit in HID mode as controller
• Mixed in Key for key analysis and rough base cue point placement

From this base I convert to:
• Rekordbox 6
• Serato
• Virtual DJ
• Algoriddim’s djay (on both macOS and iOS)
• Denon Prime performance drive.

Chat on all platforms is open for any DJ tech talk related questions.
The preferred platform for interaction is YouTube

  1. Hello Mix Master G, you said you are doing the full tagging in iTunes. also using discogs. can I ask what tool you are using?
i am still looking for a tool, which can do batch Discogs tagging, based on title and Artist. not on album and artist…. and the Labels are important for me. how do you do that in Itunes? have you heard something about One Tagger? do you like that? thanks and keep up your work, your tool and your workshop are super good…
