Jamie Campbell bowers monologue as one is so good what a great villain and reveal I did guess he was one but not vecna but it doesn’t diminish the reveal whatsoever
I think it was pretty cool the way vecna was talking to Nancy sounded like Freddy Krueger talking to Nancy from A Nightmare on Elm St. I wonder if that was another easter egg
I had seen a bts video of Jamie enduring the makeup process, before I saw this part the season. So i was spoiled but enjoyed the reveal nonetheless

You are right holden.. everything in upside down is indeed frozen in time the moment the first gate opened up and will went missing… Nancy said its the past because in a way it is, the upside down is stuck in 1983.
