No one cares Holden. Jews and Christians, Muslims whatever you are all deluded. There is no God!!
The Ark is from the Old Testament, This is not exclusive to the Jewish religion.
11:22 I died here lol nice one Holden
There's no way it's her first time seeing it….
You don't seem to know your sacred mythology very well Jen. One does not simply looks at God in the eye !
The broken engine sound is also in Fury Road.
Thanks to Indy's movies, gamers got tomb raider and drakes fortune
Any World of warcraft players? 16:20 you do the same thing in Uldaman
Cool fact: If Indiana Jones was removed from this movie, the outcome would be the same….
Pls remember there are only "3" Indiana Jones movies
@11:45 Astute observation by Jen; that dude is weird looking because it's a non-Asian guy with make-up to look "Asian."
loved your line about the "History" Channel
The not-looking at it in the end is from the Biblical tale of Sodom & Gomorrah. If I remember correctly, when people looked back at the destruction that God rained down on the cities, those people who looked back turned into pillars of salt.
I didn’t know Jen was Jewish. That’s so cool to learn. Respect!
Those who touch the ark invoke the wrath of God
The original 3 movies are fantastic.. 4th one not so much. No. 5 is incoming.. so fingers crossed. Might I suggest the 2 NATIONAL TREASURE movies.. Similar Genres.
The gun fight knife scene wasn’t in the original script but Harrison had gotten food poisoning on set so George Lucus to ford to just shoot.
Oh, Jen is Jewish. That explains her lack of religiosity and lack of knowledge about the Hebrew Bible. 😀 I get a pass, my girlfriend is Israeli. Really.
So you aren't going to react to Once Upon a Time.. in Hollywood?!
15:15 LOL worried about the monkey. The monkey was a Nazi also (or at least on their side) so screw the little shit.
Harrison Ford was originally supposed to fight the big guy with the sword, with his whip. That day, Harrison was sick & had the runs. He shot the guy instead to end the shoot quick. The guy went along with it. As soon as he shoots the guy you see him looking around. He was looking for a toilet.
I believe the "Top Men" agent was Porkins in Star Wars, IIRC.
A falcon skit would be so funny 🤣
The actress playing Marian, Karen Allen, was also in Animal House and The Sandlot. There's an Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland
8:39 Jen's side-eye to this line is hilarious
17:46 Top 10 bruh moments in history… lol
Great movie. Saw this movie at Gramans Chinese Theater a couple of times. I like Crusade the best because of the father son relationship with Sean Connery.
I'm sorry dude, I like your videos and all, but I really don't understand why you went on a complete tangent on what kind of religion Marion, a fictional character in a movie, probably has. And especially the cringy diatribe about it, with the weak cover of "my wife is jewish, so it's okay". Ah, no. It was not needed, the movie clearly shows it was not needed (as it would be completely different if Marion had said anything about religion, like "My father was obsessed with this part of his religion" or "I dropped my fathers beliefs".
Now it was just you projecting, going way to far into your projection, and then backpedalling with "But my wife".
My advise? Keep religion out of things, they stay much better that way. Explaining what the Ark is? Fine, part of a fictional story (we know Moses did not exist, and the exodus did not happen, but was based on earlier stories of an exodus out of Babylon, which also explains the commandments being given, as this story was stolen from Babylon, it is almost word for word how Hamurabi got his laws, hundreds of years earlier) in which it is said to contain these commandments and be a superweapon (but also kills someone who wants to prevent it falling off a cart, which is quite an evil thing to do as a "good" god)
I've seen the pyramids. Amazing standing there looking up at them.
FYI: "Doc Oc" actor Alfred Molina ALSO plays the man with the eyepatch who owns the monkey.
Love these movies! Always look forward to your videos. Fun fact, somewhere in the ark chamber, where Indy & Sullah are getting the ark, I don't remember where exactly, but there is a hieroglyphic of R2-D2 and C-3PO. Also, Hitler WAS apparently something of a fanatic of trying to gather religious artifacts and suppose supernatural items.
Fun fact: The actor who plays Toht shows up in the last movie as Heinrich Himmler
Crystal Skull reaction was just released and I’ve been waiting for all of them to watch them all at once so here we go!
I love all the Indiana Jones movies. My favorite is the Last Crusade 🙂
If Jen likes Marcel you should show her Marcel the shell!
Why did the Nazi's die when the Ark was opened? Well first, when Moses asked to see God, God told him he could not endure it. So it was believed that to see God in all his majesty would destroy you. Plus, I think Belloq and the Nazi's offended God, not only in the evil they did, but God had commanded that only the Temple High Priest could open the Ark and that only the Levite priests could touch it. Also, I think the spirit that appeared out of the Ark at the end of the movie was the Angel of Death. There was also evidently a deleted scene where old man who translated the markings on the headpiece of the staff explains some of this and tells Indy and Sallah not to touch the Ark. The script is very smartly written by Lawrence Kasdan.
Jen was totally right about the faces of the guys in the taven not looking real! They actually didn't hire asian actors in this movie and instead had white men wear yellow face for that scene. One of the older racist practices of Hollywood. I'm actually really glad she caught it!
I was just talking about how National Treasure was really the last fun, adventure movie we've had and that it's a genre we don't get movies in anymore. I hope we get some soon, I def. miss that genre.
I don't think I ever realized that's Alfred Molina at the beginning haha learn something new everyday right.
That is the biggest Boston Terrier I have ever seen!
Jen saying she loves Egyptian culture had me thinking. Stargate reaction perhaps?
