  1. I saw this in theaters. Back then we all thought it was better than the first. We were in the midst of the era so it wasn’t as easy to realize how much every action movie wanted to be so much like the Matrix. That being the case made this (and ever other action movie) look cooler, but not better.

  2. In Del Toros own words
"The design of the vampires from Blade II came from the same set of notes I've been keeping since I was a kid…. the same notes that went there were the same notes that I used on The Strain, so a lot of the biology is in common. The Mimic epidemic came from the same place, because I'm very curious about biology and I'm very curious about epidemics, and how fast they could undermine society. So that was in the beginning pitch of Mimic”

  4. Definitely thought of this movie when Underworld and Strain came out. MOre so when Strain came out because I wasn't distracted by Kate Beckinsale. Not sure if you'll do it but excited for Blade 3
I'm surprised I didn't think of the end of this movie(sunrise)when I saw the end of Black Panther(Killmonger death)..wonder if it was an homage? I'm going to research now and see if I've been living under a rock. lol

  5. For me, watching this in the UK when it first came out, the biggest shock was Luke Goss !?!?
He was better known for being in a boyband in the late 80s, and it was such a shock to see him in this. Even more of a shock was that he's not bad as an actor.

  7. So many tie-ins with other movies too. Nomac (the main villain) is also the same person who is the main villain in Hellboy 2 which also stars Ron Pearlman. The first of the Blood Pack to die in the club is Marcus (the first vampire) from the Underworld series.
