  1. Omg intro helped remind me of that movie Ants that and unlocked some memories I forgot until now. Also the short about the guy playing chess I vaguely remember it! I miss the “bugs life” attraction at disneys California adventure! I just found old camcorder footage of when i was a child riding the rides

  2. Please react to The Hunger Games Franchise! They are the best book to movie adaptation out there imo. These movies carry such a weight to them because of how tragic the world is but also because it’s eerie similarities to our own society. I think Jen will like it, especially the sequel! Thank you love your content! ❤

  3. I'm with you, Holden in that I liked Antz better, but again, I'm A LOT older than you guys-I'm an old Gen Xer, and so even though I saw the two films in the movies just like you, I was already an adult when they came out, so I don't have the childhood memories of them. (It still weirds me out when you call 90s movies "classics" since in my mind classics are movies that came out before I was born-say the 60s and before)

  4. Again, this is my knowledge as an oldster, but the mantis saying "the pain, the pain" was an homage to the voice actor's role as Dr Smith in Lost in Space in the 60s. This was also Roddy McDowell's last film. He was one of the few child actors (from the 40s) who transitioned to adult acting. He's best known for National Velvet as a child actor, and Planet of the Apes (the original series) as an adult. I also know him as one of the baddies from The Cat From Outer Space (you can actually see what he looks like there). This is also Madelin Kahn's last film (she was the "straight man" from What's Up Doc?) I guess you guys have no idea of any of these actors. Actually, all of those shows were from before I was born too, but we Gen Xer watched films and shows from before our time, and young ones today barely watch anything from a time before they were born

  5. you know Antz is a way better movie especially when you know that a ;pt of Pixar people left for Dreamworks to make Antz but Pixar kept rights for a 3D bug movie… This movie started the rivalry between Pixar and Dreamworks and I think Dreamworks brings in better quality and storytelling every time. I love them both though

  6. Wow, harsh call there by Jen…. yeh each to their own, I guess.
Really liked this movie when it was at the cinema and loved bloopers at the end….. definitely a favourite. 🙂
Seeing the reactions again, the Caterpillar guy is the favourite character for me…. so funny "Look, I'm a beautiful butterfly!"
    Hilarious 🙂

  7. Antz holds a hilarious place in my heart. The first time my mom watched it, she was shocked that there was a swear word in a kid's movie. I couldn't stop laughing because I was a teen by the time she noticed, and it was years after I had the movie on VHS.

  8. I remember watching this, Antz, and The Ant Bully often as a kid when they'd be shown on TV, and A Bug's Life is probably to one I've seen the least. I definitely preferred the other 2 as a kid, though it's been years since I fully saw all 3.
