  1. This can apply to people who aren't CEOs too. The things you said about ego, doing something differently from the way you always did it, all good points that apply to everyone, and it was something that I needed right now.

  2. "Outcome vs. Opinion" as the boss sometimes you're looking for an opinion from your team, other times you need an outcome from them. Gotta know the right time for each.
    Appreciate the knowledge CEO Bear.

  3. I had an ex boss who was shitting on an employee for something that had nothing to do with him. I confronted her and the answer was, we are the Bosses therefore we can. I didn't stay long.

  4. My wife and I have both been through ugly divorces and had to start over 20 years ago….
Working as a team we’ve built our lives much better than before! A healthier relationship and goals in life.
Me being an auto tech for 30 years and her being a waitress for just as long we decided to take what savings we had combined and buy a dumpy restaurant! Had 4 apartments on the second floor which we remodeled (I worked on them in the evenings and weekends after my regular weekly job)…they worked out well, paid the mortgage on the building.
Soon after we bought a few run down homes during 08-09…remodeled those and now have 5 rental building all paid for!
With this current administration antics , it makes me nervous about our future we worked so hard for!
One thing that I can not tolerate is a threat against what I’ve worked for , nor a threat towards my family! Name calling at me is fine….don’t care!
What bothers me also is these idiots that haven’t done a thing in their lives thinking they deserve what others have worked for….I’m a racists if I say otherwise!
The world is upside down! Giving power to those that have no idea what they’re doing or for seeing the outcome of their actions.
Even dogs have better judgement than that!

  6. It's hard for me to imagine that there are still narrow minded bosses who think like this. They are missing out on all their employees contributions that would most likely improve the business in many ways. 90% of all bad decisions are made by upper management and I think this "my way or the highway" mentality contributes tremendously to these decisions.

  7. In my years of service, I have learned "People support what they help to create" moreover, they will defend whatever it is they work together to create. Even adults that don't even like each other if they build something together, they will fight to keep it, maintain it, and perpetuate its success. CEO's that think they know more than the people who do the actual work, in the environment where the actual work occurs, are egotistical idiots who neither deserve good people, nor the benefit of their labors. His people will choose to either help him or hang him. In my experience the CEO's who are able to create a culture of interdependency of people who do the work, and the business, organization, or charity are the ones who succeed beyond measure. The "Secret Sauce" they employ is open and honest two-way communications of the needs of the company, and the needs of the people. This interdependence working together to solve the needs of the customer they serve, so that they thrive together – – Customer, Employee, and Company. Great content Brother – keep it coming.

  8. the unfortunate reality is that many organizations are run my a-holes tyrants. Big egos, know it all attitude and short sight seem to be the norm. They prefer to surround themselves with “yes sir” who will suck up to them.
