I feel like AKL should get an honorable mention because it's the only hotel with GIRAFFES. 🦒
For me, Swan and Dolphin is a top 5. I would consider it a “best bang for your buck” and it’s so easily accessible to 2 of the parks. I always stay there when I go!
Beach club!! Best location and food and transportation options. We stay there every single year!!
Even though my kids are now adults, we always stay at AOA. It’s so nice and easy. And now with the Skyliner, it’s even better.
Love your list! Food and location are really important to me too. I love the beach club but there quick service is not the best. Our new favorite is the Riviera!
100% agree with the Fort Wilderness pick. I have such fond chlidhood memories from that resort and I feel like it's one of those places that — if you're not a camper — most people wouldn't go out of their way to visit. For that alone, it feels like a best kept secret. So much to do and so much to see! Walking around in the early morning, I spotted a deer, an armadillo, the horses, teeny tiny frogs and so much more. Love being out in nature and this is the certainly the closest I can get to it at WDW. 🙂

My favorite resort is Port Orleans – French Quarter. It feels so quaint and the theming is so good. Plus, beignets.

Great video and list!! Agree about the Riviera- can’t explain it but it really has an amazing feeling when we are there!! It’s our new favorite!! Staying there again in January!
What resort would you recommend for November with teenage boys?
I wish Tim had done a top 5 for each $$ category resort. I tend to stick to Moderates, because I just can't justify the expense of a Deluxe, when I do little more than sleep in the room. Maybe take an afternoon off. Most of us don't have the luxury of being close enough to go to the parks often enough to be able to use time in the hotels as, well, resort relaxation time. We are off in the parks seeing everything that is new, and old favs, since we could last afford to go. (And let's just ignore the Covid years)
When do the Halloween decorations usually start at ft wilderness?
Love this video!! On our most recent trip we resort hopped and visited many new resorts that we had never seen before! I totally agree that the vibe of the Riviera resort is unmatched!!!
i know my aunt always likes to stay at Wilderness Lodge. it's always her favorite and where we stayed every time i think i went to disney with my family and aunt and uncle. i know maybe in a year or so (i love amusement parks but i don't wanna go to big amusement parks still with covid and stuff especially since i live with my family.. i don't wanna give covid to my whole family again..) i may go with my new boyfriend.. maybe around my birthday? i wanna go to disney on my birthday one day!

Great video, thanks! Personally, I really liked Caribbean Beach for the transportation links and I actually found the size of the resort to be a plus as it meant our room was far away from the business of the main pool. Also, not totally sure why but our buses were always quieter than the ones for other moderates like Coronado. It has its downsides, like every single resort out there, but overall I found it to be great for our needs.
Have you stayed at the Beach Club ? I loved that place . I loved this review as well, it gives me a different perspective on other hotels . Jackson is growing so fast, what an adorable little boy.
