  2. Im so happy to hear my all time favorite on your list.. FEEL! A standalone masterpiece from that album, not disimilar to CROWN from his latest album.

It'd take me a long time to make a top 10 list. So I won't post one but I really enjoyed your list. Take Care Bob!

  3. here's mine, I tried to in general go for one song from each project (plus one feature) and then other favorites to get it to 10, and then rank those from most to least favorite.
    1. Sing About Me – The best of his storytelling imo, and makes me cry every time. The only song on here that I just can't listen to over and over because it's so so powerful.
    2. m.A.A.d city – YAWK YAWK YAWK YAWK
    3. Wesley's Theory – George Clinton gives me life
    4. Rigamortus – Arguably his best showcase of technical ability and on his very first album, no less.
    5. untitled 06 – So Damn Jazzy. His most underrated song, in my opinion. CeeLo Green KILLS his verse, too.
    6. XXX. – Hot take: this is his hardest song, over DNA, HUMBLE, or even m.A.A.d city. It takes something special to get a small, generally shy girl like me to jump up and down in her kitchen at 3 in the morning mouthing along to "BITCH I DID THAT"
    7. Yeah Right (by Vince Staples ft. Kendrick) – I love Vince but man Kendrick outshone him here like the sun does a spotlight. By the way, Bob, I highly recommend checking out Vince Staples' debut, Summertime 06. It's great, and has some of my favorite production on any album in the past 10 years.
    8. DUCKWORTH. – Another fantastic showcase of his storytelling. And WOW the beat switches are GREAT. 9th Wonder is one of the GOATs.
    9. Savior – The most recent song on here. Just a really important song for Kendrick as an artist, denouncing the role of savior that he has been accused of embracing for so long. And it sounds fantastic on top of that.
    10. The Heart Part 5 – I could not have picked a better song for Kendrick to come back with. And half of the appeal of this song is the music video, which might be cheating, but shut up, it's my list.

  4. You dont need to have an explanation for why you like lust at 9. We like things that are different and hard to explain, and as you put it lust is exactly that, confusing but appealing.

  5. The one thing I’ve noticed about Kendrick top 10’s is that I don’t think I have ever seen a list I do not respect, or at least understand. Just goes to the artistry and concrete solid discography kendrick has created. The greatest ever.

  6. 10. Swimming pools (what made it so special was that I kept hearing it nonstop at parties with people completing ignoring the premise)
    9. Untitled 2
    8. Pride.
    7. Lust.
    6. XXX.
    5. Money trees
    4. Good kid
    3. Wesley's theory
    2. Duckworth (best storytelling in terms of structure)
    1. SAM,DOT (Mona Lisa of rap)

Should be in the top 10 but idk where so it's on the side – bitch don't kill my vibe.

MMBS was a banger but I still enjoy the his older works more.

    Album top 5
    5. Sector 80
    4. MMBS
    3. TPAB
    2. DAMN.
    1. GKMC

People wanna downplay GKMC because it's trendy and mainstream but it's absolutely a purest art

Ay man. Gotta give my take aswell. Obliged too as he too is my favourite lyricist in the game since I started listening

Best part about kdot is that everyone has a different favourite song and album yet everyone understands how others have their own favourite. Truly artistic. I'm proud to be born in this man's prime.

  9. Bro I love Crown, the acustic piano, the deep echo-y voice, the chorus which is just beautiful, the lyrics are just incredible and overall I think it's it's an AMAZING track!

  10. Hey Bob! I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and i didn’t know if i could submit a request but theres this very underground group called “Soul Junk” I’m talking 200 monthly listeners and they have the craziest sampling i’ve ever heard better than MF DOOM. When I was younger my dad liked them and they came out when the world wasn’t ready for sampling so they never got the love they deserve! Anyways Thanks!!

  11. Just stumbled across your channel and I’m really digging it. Love how thoughtful your analysis is and hearing your own self-reflections. Would you consider reacting to a non-rap album? If so, I’d highly recommend Black Midi’s latest album, Hellfire. Wild music and lyrically dense, I think you would have a lot of fun picking that apart.

Anyways, my top 10 is probably something like this (in no particular order):

    1. Wesley’s Theory
    2. Hood Politics
    3. FEAR.
    4. Rich Spirit
    5. Worldwide Steppers
    6. For Free?
    7. LUST.
    8. The Art of Peer Pressure
    9. Money Trees
    10. Untitled 03

  12. Love it, some unexpected songs!
Some of the songs I didn't know the name of, would appreciate it if you could mention the song name when you present it, or show it on screen? E.g number 1, I know I've heard it, but didn't remember the name lol

  13. Man it's so good there's still a group of people who understand how great of a song Crown is. So much packed in there especially if you can relate to what he's saying. It was definitely an eye opener for me as well.

  14. Listen to Kendricks overly dedicated mixtape, the last song on it "cut you off" is my favourite Kendrick track since it shows the things he was doing to try succeed

  15. Anthony Fantano listens to an album once and reviews it which is terrible! CROWN is one of the greatest songs i have ever heard powerful and emotional and DEEP! i was telling my friend when MM&TBS first dropped that CROWN was one of the top 2 songs and he was like i dont like it that much, 1 week later he came back to me and was like bro you was right Crown is freaking FIRE!!!
