I'm… a little surprised to hear that Calico is getting an update, simply because the base game is… very broken.

if they have a kickstarter there is no need for early access
if they have a demo there is no need for early access
if they only have early access then it is a good option
the team made the right choice imo to cancel early access, use the kickstarter base
I want Ea to make sims bussing out i try to move the furnitures around then i gave up
I've come to realise Early Access kinda sucks because updates sometimes take so long, I'm over the game by the time they come.
I felt that was the case for Travelers' Rest and Coral Island. The latest update for Traveler's Rest has made the game so different from my earlier experience that I feel I should restart my save but I really can't be bothered to do everything all over again.
Same goes for Coral Island – I'd already nearly completed all the offerings and museum donations plus earned a lot of money by automating most of the farming chores. By the time the last update came by, I was all Coral Island-ed out and really had no interest in starting an underwater farm and ranch.
I played the Urbz or what it was called on the gba. The one Sims game with the best soundtrack btw. Played that as a kid every day on the bus to school. Dunno how a remake or remaster would work for that. Seems kinda impossible to me.
I'm team full release, and I usually buy early access games to support the developers, as with early access they might get the funds they need while still working on the project.
I’ve been really wanting to check out the Horizon games.

Never played MySims but I've played The Sims 1 and 2, and The Urbz! Loved those, and I'll be looking forward to trying out MySims cozy bundle, it's great that it's 2 games in one!
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp: I'm glad they are releasing a completed edition and move on, because apparently one half of AC dev team was working on New Horizon and one half was working on Pocket Camp, so if they are stopping developing Pocket Camp, then we hope it means they are reuniting again with other half of the team to create the new Animal Crossing game for the next Switch successor. I really hate games with microtransactions so for me, this is a win. Pocket Camp have tons of events and loads loads loads of decor items and craft items so I look forward to playing the complete edition without pop ups of microtransactions.
My Time at Evershine going straight to full release is a right decision IMO.
I have Field of Mistria but I'm also not playing it until its full release version, I'm excited for that too. I'm also excited for Critter Cafe.
wilmot works it out is so much fun. a bit short but i'm happy with it.
The other 0option for Pocket Camp was for them to just close it down and leave us with nothing, so of course having a complete version is better. Closing it down and no game left for you is common with online/mobile games. Also there will be new events for the first year. There is 7 years worth of stuff to decorate with in Pocket camp. And it wont be as grindy with the incentive to be grindy removed. They are making things cost 10x less leaf token than the old game did tickets and stuff you had to pay for before free now.
I'm really happy to see a game coming out with a full release, rather than a long early access period. I have faith that Pathea can pull it off. Love their first two games!

I actually really enjoy early access games. I enjoy being part of the process and seeing all the different iterations. It’s fun! Even waiting for new updates is fun because you never know what’s gonna be in them. 😊
I've been burned by a couple of early access games in the past so I'm a bit sour on them. I've playing the My Time games for years now and really enjoy them so I look forward to Evershine. That said, I hope for a complete game and not one to whet my whistle then leave me hanging. In fact, I'm enjoying the recent update to Sandrock. On a side note, been having a blast with 1.6 of Stardew Valley too!. Thank you for your insight, I look forward to more of your posts. Blessings.
Team just give me the damn finished game, checking in! I am not the type to play through something, put it down, and then come back and replay or continue it months or years later because they added updates. I'm a once and done person, for games, movies, shows, etc. I don't do replays even on games designed for it, it just isn't fun for me whatsoever. Sooo yeah, very happy there won't be early access.
I'm completely done with Early Access. I'm not buying dough anymore. I'll come back when it's a pizza.
mysims was one of my favorite franchises as a child! i had mysims, kingdom, and agents, but unfortunately i dont think agents was very good..

Why they won't port pocketcamp to the switch I will never know. I'm not gonna play on my phone I can't, I'm too much of a boomer. No early access for my time at evershine sounds like a good deal, I feel like we can Pathea to make a great game anyway.

I played Pocket Camp a couple of years ago for about a year, surprisingly lol. I actually really liked it, but after about 6+ months of coming back it became too repetitive and had enough after another 6ish months. So if you don’t want a repetitive game, might not be worth the money. I’m actually pretty happy with what they’re doing though, they’re giving a lot for a $10 mobile game ($20 end of January 2025 I think). I plan to buy it on Christmas even though I don’t really have much time to play it currently. Might as well while it’s cheaper lol.

Besides that: I always respect and apreciate it when devs say we need more time for cooking to ensure you that you wil be served a fine meal. Furthermore I need to make notes of those delays games, they look good.

Kinda confused about the Animal Crossing Pocket Camp complete edition 8:41 I don’t really understand why they’re deciding to do this, but I guess it gives access for those who loved it before they shut down the servers.
I really feel burned out of early access. I get it, and understand the pros, i bought Fields of Mistria, just for helping the developers, but i kinda started to hate EA. I hyped up, a game, play it, and then its over. Six months later there is a new update, if you continue your save, you missing out, if you start a new save, you play everthing again, and this is happening again and again years. This happened with, My Time at Sandrock, Coral Island, Valheim, Enshrouded etc. One of the reason i bought Mirthwood that it is complete, and its so rare in the cozy and indie segment. Sorry about the rant.
