  1. I do like the game alot but with all the end game issues, glitches, etc, I'm waiting a few months hoping for it to get alot better. Then I'll pick it up.

  2. Also have to note that those two games are not just on Steam, most players don't play via steam. So, the numbers you are showing is only a fraction of the player base.
We should keep up the pressure on what needs to be fixed with the game, or we will likely get more of the same, as we did with WoW.

  3. There’s plenty of game in the 40$ package at launch. I see the game having a strong player base as long as the content is good. FF14 has more active users than just steam though. Many FF14 player don’t play the game on steam but through the Square Enix launcher. Also add in PlayStation players and FF14 has double that number daily.

  4. I play as a solo tank and focus on crafting. My frustration is housing. Economy is awful so affording a house is simply not an option for me. I do love the game, don’t get me wrong…..but housing

  5. There are some very basic design choices that MUST to change for long term viability of New World. Ignoring the very serious bugs, which can be fixed, given time and resources, the designers have painted themselves into a corner in several ways. The whole town upgrade system is just a calamity as you can see with companies not upgrading them.

New daggers missions and shinies are needed but are not what is needed. The group pvp and faction system is just fundamentally flawed because it has to have players use the game in a very specific way for the world to function. Fixing this is technically possible but may not be emotionally possible for the developers. Having abandoned towns should be a red flag to developers and the community.

  6. This game will last at most a month. That is if they havent fixed all the problems the game has and added new content in top of that. Also end game is boring, the game progression once you reach lvl 60 is one of the worst I seen so far let me explain the last dungeon before lvl 60 drops 500 gear score the next dungeon to progress is recommended to have a gear score of 580 as a solo player the only thing I can do is to farm elite chests once a day until I get 580 gs and enjoy the next dungeon. Not to mention that I spend more money repairing my gear than what the high end mobs give you for killing them, you only get from 9 – 12 gold from a lvl 65 mob it is so frustrating. I have nothing to do except daily elite chests no dungeon to help me progress and the weapon quest you cant even do on your own and finding people to help you out is very very difficult

  7. As someone that used to work in the games industry it is NICE to hear a content creator try to dispel or discuss why players should relax and slow down some. New World is an AMAZING game at launch, far better than most games have been at launch and I for one look forward to the future.

  8. I just had to put a comment on here. It is really crazy to see what a lot of these arm chair developers say in comments/forums/Reddit. You have very little to no understanding of what's goes into these games and more importantly how to fix bugs. It's not as simple as flicking a switch to fix the bug, you have sift through 100s if not 1000s lines of code to find specifically where that big is being caused. Some are easier to find than others and some are harder to fix. In a MMO you need to replicate these issues to on the server side which will have many many lines of extra code. The next thing is unpredictability of players, yes it seems like once one person finds a beneficial bug then of course others will exploit it as well. You seriously cannot expect any company of any magnitude to test absolutely all scenarios, you wouldn't see a game in literal years after development. Also players are un predicable doing all crazy stuff and things in sequence which isn't intended.

As for content it has a great foundation and a lot of setting up for the future. There is plenty there and being worked on as you can see in multiple videos (I personally wish AGS would give a content roadmap) but I do understand there is a lack of content at end game too based on people's and friends comment (primarily choices in content). It will happen, I for one am extremely excited to see where this game leads even just based on what potential they could use for content given the nature of the setting in New World.

I also want to clarify that I am simply not trying to defend them either, I am just wanting to be informative about alot of comments I've seen recently. Bugs and straight up problematic systems that need a few tweaks will be fixed in time. Like any MMO they need to find their consistent playerbase and identify what tweaks they need to make for New World.

  9. Big problems I see, travel, it takes 12 minutes to run from brightwood to everfall, that's ridiculous and people just aren't going to continue to put up with it indefinitely. Unbalanced faction, if you are in the minority faction, you level slower, you gain standing slower, you gather slower, you have higher recall costs, you pay higher taxes and it's just a real morale buster. i know it's 50-50 but when 1 faction has 1100 people, another has 600 and another has 400, the higher pop faction can pick better pvpers and for the higher pop faction, their people won't be chosen to be in the war because they won't be in the 50 click so they get screwed there as well. They really screwed up transfers by allowing people to keep their faction on transfer, all that did was worsen the problem, players basically looked at who controlled the most territories and went to that server making it more unbalanced. If you "Choose" to transfer them faction should be reset and like switching factions, you can't join the faction that controls the most, that would of been a big help to the under populated factions. If you are forced to transfer, I would understand but not if you choose. Queues are pretty much gone so not sure why they bothered giving out free transfers. To be successful they have to get new players coming in. Allowing 1 char per server puts them at a disadvantage. I am still enjoying the game but they have a lot to do for me to stay. The game obviously took bits and pieces from other games, threw them in a pile and picked the best aspects and released a basic stripped down core game and concentrated more on aesthetics and mechanics. Limiting shield to only useable with sword was silly, no swimming, basically no fall damage, no dual wield, the messed up stats on drops like melee weapons with intel, housing taxes are ridiculous especially if you aren't in the correct faction. And a big one is trying to figure out how to reduce the client side lag, people are exploiting this to win wars, once again breaking morale. There is so much good and they have a solid base to build from and I hope they will address the issues and listen to the majority of their players and show they are listening by communicating.

  10. Lol , I still have about 300 hours of game play left and that's just working on gearing and dungeons. Not even touching trade skills , PVP (rank up +gearing ) exploration , housing or end game crafting. Frankly feel overwhelmed but in a good way. Lol not even 60 yet , best 40$ I have spent. There will be people drop off but I believe this game will still remain pretty strong.

  11. I get why you're defending it but there are a lot of people who have hit 60 now. When a lot of us first hit 60 you couldn't even clear any high lvl portals in the game! Now myrkgaurd can be cleared but you still dont get the intended loot. the war is like playing in powerpoint which in many peoples opinions is the most fun part of the game. Then outpost rush does not even work! how do you have at least 50% of your end game content just not work and expect people to keep playing and enjoying the game? I for one grinded it hard and expected when I hit 60 to dive into pvp and outpost rush. Outpost rush doesnt work and they made it harder to declare wars and so now it doesn't happen near as often. Too many issues they had weeks to fix and did not address.

  12. Its a good game and lots to do with crafting/questing/pvp and the ability to just do your own thing. But something is missing i dont know what it is. It says its an MMO but feels more single player than anything imo. I have been playing since launch but i find myself not logging in a much it seems for me to lost that IT factor, i try to set myself goals to keep my spirits but not sure if its burn out but the hook factor has gone for now. Great to see so many player concurrently playing the game.

  13. Stopping playing a game and taking a break should not be such a life or death drama, lol.
The poor state of the game should not be ignored, even if you are currently having fun.

  14. I mean right know it doesnt look that game will die but it has so many broken shit its insane. Its not few bugs left and right. And after dominos of players starts too fall its gonna be infinitely harder for Amazon to redeem themselfs and nobody knows when dominos can start to fall.

  15. new world competing with other mmorpgs in terms on concurrent playerbase means literally nothing. every server NEEDS a sufficient and constant active playerbase in order to stay afloat. if we dont have a constant influx of casuals coming into the game, playing for 50 hours and quitting, the entire trade market and economy falls to shit. you have level 60s doing fucking fiber runs and iron ore runs when really, the low level new players should be able to supply the market with these resources. this game is destined to fail.

  16. its too grindy leveling from 1-60 for casual ppl, nowadays ppl dont have patience for that. Alot of ppl still playing are just playing because gaming atm is kinda dry, idont think it will completely die but in 4 months I wouldnt be surprise if the total population is around 10k-20k

  17. What in the world was that method in which you got those numbers lol. FF14 uses its own launcher and WoW as well. You can't launch NW on any other launcher lol. I thought you might do some ratio work here but woah…..

  18. Demone, you're a good man and I've enjoyed your videos, so I'm going to stay subbed here, but I'm not playing this sad, sorry game. Yes, I had high hopes but it ended up really sucking (too many bugs and too much grinding and far too many gate locked steps for me) . . . I agree with your assessment of the modern game industry, when was the last time we were ever offered a full, complete, bug free gaming experience (I'm older than you young man) . . . honestly, never, we are always allowed to be naive beta testers who pay for the development costs and are allowed the privilege to dig out the devs lazy digital errors. And as our reward we are given the hope to see multiple patches and bug fixes before the game slowly winds down and dies an ignoble death . . .

NW is just another ugly stepchild in a far, too long line of marketing failures I'm afraid sir . . . cough, FO76, cough or too many others to mention lol. Reading the comments here I'm glad this game still has so many fanbois . . . can't wait for the YT drama in defense of the one true next MMO game (at least none have called it the WOW killer lol). But for me, I'm staying in the peanut gallery while they fill-up their three rings under the big tent with our favorites, the lumbering elephants, the flashy acrobats and ofc, the energetic clowns to entertain the online masses, thx but no thx. Keep up the great work sir, I'll wait to see which game you start with next, may be I'll join you there, I'll at least be watching.

  19. New World don't have a balance in game loot and a crafter. The early drop of high gear and items it ruined the crafter and too much daily quest that give more gold. If they want ARPG type of loot or like sandbox crafting they should focus one in this things. If they want like a theme park mmo they should add a gear that you can upgrade and gold sink to control the gold economy. People are playing it because of Amazon name, people are hungry to play a new AAA MMO and it got a good graphic compare to other MMO. If a new AAA mmo come this game is going to die if they don't fix early this issue.

  20. Imagine fighting for weeks to take everfall one of central cities and defending it. Then comes server transfer and our server was exposed to cheats, every war attackers win now. Prior to this only 1/5 attackers won as defenders have the adventage. No outpost rush, no wars without massive game breaking exploit. Its looking doomed.

  21. The big and worrying problem with New World is how Amazon have so far tackled problems. Essentially, a large chunk of territory holders and the people who have gotten their capped gear have done so through questionable methods and Amazon have not lifted a finger to push back on it. Add in the mass reporting, end game issues and more and you're essentially left with a very displeased crowd of hardcore gamers. The only ones who are content with the game right now are the casuals who haven't reached max level and realized the severity of the problems facing end game content.

  22. I no lifed the game on release for the first week and burnt out and had to desire to login after I came home from a vacation. Slowly starting to play again and honestly the game is amazing when you play just for the experience as appose to trying to be a competitive demon.

  23. I'm now the official lvl 30 quitter, it came to a point where I couldn't help thinking " why am I doing this"? To much of the same repetition, for example, leveling from 1-10 felt the same from 20-30…..

  24. If they don't add a lot more content it will die fast. The questing is generic and boring. The environment, while beautiful, is all repetitive. The enemies are the same 15-20 things with different colors and skins. The economy is in trouble on just about every server. The character creation is AWFUL. Almost all of my friends quit before hitting 60 because they got tired of running around to do same crappy quests and they hated doing town quests. Fast travel is too expensive and without mounts (at least while unflagged) running from zone to zone is tedious. I hipe they fix these issues before game completely dies
