This game is absolutely horrendous, just from the demo the combat is the worst I have ever seen in a game, enemies are all broken and have super armor, while the player character can be stunlocked by every single attack, enemies will CONSTANTLY do off screen attacks and nothing is telegraphed right. This game has EVERYTHING I despise in action games. The original is 10000000x better than this slop. Its like square enix doubled down on everything that make the combat garbage in the first part. Whoever made this game should be ashamed.
Covered breasts,, they caved to woke pressure. Canceled and not playing. Not spending a dime on another starfiekd with pronouns and everyone looking like crap abd funny facial shadows to uglyfy them. Not a dime as should everyone else so we can fix this stuff and get back to gaming and not propaganda and ideology
Made a start on it last night and iv got to agree that they was testing the waters with remake and seem to have knocked it out the park with rebirth. This really feels like a modern version of ff7. Is it different, yeah but that keeps it exciting and your not like even though its going to be interesting seeing what it looks like in todays standard i know whats coming next. I think they've got it right by keeping enough to still be ff7 but also keep you guessing and feel new. It took balls to remake such a Goliath of a game especially when the original is your own masterpiece but theyve done it and done it well it doesnt feel like a money grab. I know money is a big part but these days a lot of remakes are lazy because theyll sell because of the title where as this so far seems to have been made with love for the original and the thought of doing the fans justice.
Bought the game was so hyped to play it. But it looks awfully blurry on performance mode. And im not that affected by stuff like this. But fuck me looking at cloud and seeing that he doesnt look Sharp just bothers me a lot.
And i cant get used to 30 fps but looks way better.
Story changes aside, my main gripe about Remake was that it didn't let you fight enough battles to really digest the mechanics of the battle system. It seems like Rebirth will let you do that and experiment more.
I just finished it. And tbh im really upset. Theyve completely ruined this trilogy. Sure. Its a great game based on gameplay and seeing all these iconic moments with the updated next gen graphics and gameplay. But why they chose to go with this trash confusing BS kingdom hearts level timeline garbage is beyond me. I let it slide in the 1st game thinking "sure they end fate blah blah they can go in any direction and make a brand new story" i was ok with that. But to find out the whole whisper thing was only used so they could still follow the og story and just shoehorn in this split timeline garbage was the last straw for me. They should have just recreated the original story with no changes. That would have been way better than this timeline trash. Ff7 remake trilogy is cooked now. Im done ranting
to me, the graphics vs performance is that, they had to sacrifice ALOT to make the 60fps as stable as possible, something that was not possible with remake.
The ending REALLY sucks. They did a terrible, terrible job of it. They took a pivotal moment in gaming history and turned it into a weightless, pointless, firework display. Genuinely already one of the most disappointing moments in gaming this year. They dropped the ball so hard.
