  1. I have many Dutch relatives Professor , it’s been amusing watching a lot of them turn from Liberal to the right over the last ten years , people can only take so much and a good portion of the country is fed up of being ignored and basically having the the P1ss taken out of them .

  2. Here in the UK, I think large numbers of ā€œleft behindā€ whites – the gammon chavs of the Red Wall, for instance – will start converting to Islam over the next decade or so. I know it seems incredible to imagine the whites of Rotherham converting to the religion of the men who raped their daughters, but I still think exactly this kind of thing will start to happen. Why?

    1) Muslims are a ā€œprotected classā€ while working class whites are not. Rotherham proves this. Conversion is a route to protection.
    2) Islam is the wave of the future while Christianity is not. The Church of England is currently on track to have zero members by 2050, by which time Islam will be approaching 20% of the population.
    3) Muslims care for and protect their own, something Justin Welby would be ashamed of doing for Christians. And the white working class desperately needs in-group carers and protectors.
    4) Muslims are confident proselytisers. Justin Welby would not dare to proselytise to the daily new arrivals in the UK. He probably thinks that preaching the gospel to them is racist or something.
    5) If a working class Muslim marries a working class white, in most cases the white Anglo will convert, not the Muslim. (Things are different for middle class graduates. I don’t think Sarfraz Manzoor ever expected his English wife to covert, for instance.)
    6) Many people in prison convert to Islam.
    7) Islamic rituals offer a structure to chaotic lives. Plus, the Islamic prohibition on alcohol is actually a good idea.
    8) You can get away with being right wing, and even reactionary, if you express yourself in Islamic terms. Many right wingers secretly admire Islam’s muscularity; plus, they know that lefty liberals are secretly scared of it. Islam easily the most ā€œbasedā€ religion in the world. In Islamic theology, the most unforgivable thing is ā€œbid'ahā€, or innovation.

  3. I dont think any of the main religions teach that you should import millions of people who are vastly different are from you. Tim, you should move out of your all white area and move to luton and see what migration has done

  5. I’m also quite surprised I’ve been travelling to the Netherlands for 35 years and have some good friends over there…
They have always been so against fascists due to the war but they do have a problem with immigrants very many are from Turkey and they have always complained about them… so maybe that has something to with it

  6. He describes it as a `pleasant result`. I see it more of a `peasants revolt`. Its high time we put a stop to religious fervour, but I don't feel the need to BAN it. Just tell ALL religions that they must finance the growth of their religion out of their own pockets. Instantly stop Kibbutzes and Mosques, RC Churches (and Protestant encouragement of `private interpretaion`) unless they're financed privately by the few.
If only the religions could practise and preach tolerance… of each other. For a start.

  7. It's not intolerance to not tolerate the intolerant and it is the intolerant that are trying to come into our countries and take them over, people are fed up with seeing their pay and conditions undercut, housing becoming harder to obtain, local services being stretched beyond breaking point, the security of children and women, and safety for the rest of us, why am I paying taxes to make my life worse by paying for this.

  8. Kindness , empathy and tolerance makes the world a better place. No religious beliefs required. There is nothing ā€œgreatā€ about religion. Look at Gaza !!šŸ€šŸ€šŸ€

  9. Odd for someone who is both committed to Judaism (but also using the internet on shabbat) to say this but you can't really talk about, 'what Jews believe', a. There are lots of different groups of Jews. b., theology is only a small part of Judaism (in that most people even very committed and very well educated won't know what little there is). Even something as simple as The Torah is from Heaven., there would be very little public discussion about that meant. This is partly because we have lived among other cultures who very much had a public theology and it was best to keep yours very much to yourself. Chabad has a theology but to some extent they are rather an exception albeit a very interesting one. And one to whom I owe a not inconsiderable amount of my Jewish education. Despite my MA in Jewish Studies and then having trained as a Reform rabbi. There are also (very small) groups of Jews who basically do entirely their own thing. A good example are Jews from Yemen. Who were expelled and now live as a community in Israel.
