Yes definitely road safety must protect the young
Why is it always someone else’s fault. It was an accident
So awful 😞 sending prayers and love ❤️
Wasn't he driving for over 6 months anyway, so what good would a 6 month restriction on carrying passengers achieve.
A dreadful tragedy.. I used to work for the LAS as a paramedic and sadly saw RTA's all the time..often with the loss of young life. My heart goes out to the family.
I’ve been driving for 30 years and even with that experience it’s so much harder driving with passengers. This is a very good.
How dishonest! Cars don't just flip themselves, the bad driving was to blame and certainly not the license! Taking responsibility for ones actions is trying to be phased out!
stop giving younger drivers cars with powerful engines .
Let's face it, she lost her son and now she's attacking everyone to feel better.
She needs to accept that her son had his friends in the car, had the music playing loud and speeding. All the drivers fault. It's a tragic accident.
I know immigrants new to the country that are a lot older that drive worse.
I know old people who drive worse.
Take responsibility of your actions.
I think people are only arguing against this just for the sake of arguing!
I’m sorry for her loss BUT you have driving lessons and theory test for a reason. Theory and studying learn’s you rules of the road and what you should/shouldnt do. Once you have your license you have proven you know how to drive a car legally and safely. Unfortunately after that people drive the way they want. As a driver you are responsible for every passenger in your car, especially if they are causing a danger or distraction, aswell as ensuring their safety by making sure they are wearing their seatbelt and driving safely.
The driver is always responsible. And at that age if the driver is in a car with friends being irresponsible these tragic instances occur. Nobody else is to blame its a tragic accident and all blame falls on the driver and passengers if they were driving in a way they shouldn’t.
This mother seems to be taking her grief out on everyone else..
0.6L max car until 21
1L max car until 25
2L max car until 30
30 onwards any car
So, because of one irresponsible person (and parents) the whole nation should suffer?
Another failed parent blaming everyone except themselves.
You can fly a aircraft on your own at 14. Let’s not drive till 25 think of all the lives that will be saved. They probably would have survived just that it tipped upside down in water wasn’t really anything to do with age.
Young drivers should have car power restricted, the amount of 18 year olds in a financed mercedes sport, who can barely even drive a manual, is scary..
Ban financed sports cars for under 21s.
Leave it like it is it's hard enough and is way to exspensive as it is it was an accident
It’s awfully tragic but stop this trying to punish everyone else for the actions of a few. Thousands upon thousands of young people like myself are capable of driving safely. Let everyone take a lesson from the accident that accidents can happen to anyone regardless of age.
💔 I hope all involved in this accident can somehow get solace and a little more peace knowing that at least their child was not alone and with their friends. They weren’t drinking, they weren’t speeding, this is a tragic accident. Yes it may have been prevented had they not had music or multiple passengers, and if they knew the roads better, but I don’t believe blame is particularly useful in dealing with loss or grief, unless there is an obvious culprit. I also hope this mother doesn’t blame the driver here. It’s so hard to drive with noise and enthusiastic friends in the back with noise. Concentration is absolute key and it takes most adult drivers years to master speaking whilst driving with even one passenger. Your eyes always have to be on the road. I hope there is no bitterness among the parents or that they blame one of the passengers or the driver. This is an awful and heartbreaking loss.
Raise them right and accidents still happen, it’s called life.. and death.
It’s not an outdated system, it’s reckless driving, if a car has flipped then unfortunately it’s careless driving, I’m sorry for their loss but you can’t make everyone else pay the price.
Girl please :/
❤
Sorry for her loss. It may sound off topic but I chanced on this cool translator that does everything and more of what a translator should have, name is Immersive Translate and one thing that can really help is it’s new feature, which lets you create a custom AI expert for translating anything. Thank me later, it's gold.
Sounds like the bends on these rural roads don't have signs warning about the bends. Here in the U.S. we have signs warning you and in some cases requiring you to drop the speed at those bends.
If young can have graduated for pensioner drivers.
We must go back to 21 not 16/17/18/19/20 25
I agree.
Shouldnt they put a sign for 25 mph around the bend…?!
Interesting how there's another debate at the other end of the lifespan – just today I saw an article about a three-year-old killed by a car being driven by a 91-year old, prompting calls to make pensioners resit their tests.
I passed at 19 first time. Theory test multiple choice 100%. Within the first year, I realised I wasn't properly equipped for the roads. I hadn't been taught enough. I took advanced driver training and everything changed. Ever since, I can navigate new roads, read bends etc with a calm and quiet confidence. My driving completely changed and everyone I know has felt it. I think more education is needed for all drivers because it can be literally life saving. I don't know why it isn't taught already. Of course there's always an individual responsible behind the wheel but I think better training would be a good start
Our roads are a disgrace, insurance is too high and smart motorways are anything but smart
It was the driver's responsibility. If he had survived, he would have been in prison on manslaughter charges. There is nothing to do with regulations.
