You are very wise
maybe because you are streamer and you have time to play and also you play games mostly for work, you are overplayed. I started little late, 22 hours of playtime and i am still lvl 23, chilling and slowly progressing. I can play it only 1-3 hours daily, so I don't expect to be bored of it that soon. btw really cool you said "you had passion in the past" wow sucks ass right now… blizzard should disband after all that mistakes they did and still do… and why the fuck they need to release Overwatch 2??? just slitghly changed skins of heroes, 3 new maps, new team mode… really… could be solid 900 mb patch. not new game for hmmm we all know blizz so full price 59.99 eur and if you want deluxe 89.99 or?
I agree with you. I’m enjoying my time in new world, but the dungeons and quests haven’t been my favorite aspects. I’ve basically shifted into this being animal crossing for me. I have lots of houses to fill.
2:30 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The base game, for a starting mmorpg, is fairly solid. I was doing the same with getting up before work and going to my PC to play because it's a game that looked amazing and felt new. I did end up leaving it untouched for a week because I feel some of the game mechanics and design don't respect a players time. The death runs when you forget to make a camp really got to me, and having to run back to the same location four times for different quests… It was too much running and there's no reason why there should not be mounts in this game, or simply a better designed flow of questing like in WoW. The difficulty I do like actually, minus the constant knockbacks in melee if you don't block.
Oh nooo.. wow
I completely agree. The casual elements in the game are enjoyable, and I can lose an afternoon in them. The world is stunning and has plenty to do. However, the game severely lacks compelling pve content. Even at the highest levels of dungeons, the combat is too trivial with only a few buttons to press, and not enough mechanics to "solve". I tanked m+ at 15s for quite a while, and I enjoy 'solving' dungeons slowly over time (figuring out who needs interrupting, what not to stand in, how to group up mobs efficiently, etc), and was excited to do them everyday precisely because I always felt like I could improve. In New World, once you get a hang of the basics of the combat system, there isn't too much more room for growth. (again, saying this about pve, not a pvper myself) I'm glad I got the game, but I'm afraid, like yourself, I'm just not excited about it. I have to remind myself to play the game, rather than needing to play the game.
yea that's how i felt too. also, i can just chill and chop trees in ffxiv tbh, and i don't get pushed around by boars in the process 😀
Alot of people are on this new world hypetrain but I am not sure about this whole game, I have it and played it a couple of hours but I am so bored by it already, the whole game feels like I am doing laundry by hand… I have a limited time of playing games, so I will not be playing something that feels like a job.
Love how casual it is. Only level 40 and it is not a game I feel the need to log on every day and do something. Probably goes along with the fact that I just stopped playing wow so it is nice to have a game that is less demanding.
holy fuck be honest just say the game is shit stop being a shill, you already sold out to ffxiv how many other games you gonna shill for?
Please read to the end before downvoting…
Competitive players like Naguura and others, will only find this game fun,
if the community ever creates a Raider.io Ranking System and destroy this game too.
Pretty much what happent with World of Warcraft. With the elitism, BiS calculations and speedrun introduction in a game that was originally launched as a tactical MMO-RPG.
There are competitive games that were designed to be competitive like MOBAs (League of Legends), FPS (Counter Strike/PUBG) etc.
MMO-RPGs are not designed like that by their nature.
The fact that Blizzard (for example) tried so hard to add this type of gameplay in WoW, is the main reason for Bots everywhere, Gold Services, Boost services etc, got introduced in the game.
In MMOs, there are ways to bypass the Grind/effort and still manage to move up the "ladder", especially in PvE content.
That is why I am saying, MMO's (especially RPG ones) should not be played by elitist players.
Not only they will get burned out, but also frustrated, seeing other people "evolving"as much if not further than them, just by purchasing Services.
Don't fool ourselves. As long as the "competitive nature" comes into a game, It is only a matter of time before real-money Boosters show up.
And in MMO's, considering their passive Networking between players, creating a Boosting Service is very very easy (compared to Counter Strike for example, where you need to search online for Boosters instead of just inside the /trade in a game area).
TLDR_1: MMO-RPG's are not (and should not be) suited for competitive Gamers.
TLDR_2: The Gearscore Addon in WoW 2008, was the largest mistake the MMO-Gaming Community has ever done.
Maybe in like 4 years it will be ok, right now it just feels like a 1/10th full ESO. There is no there there.
I feel exactly like you do, and think the same. i tried ff but i couldn't get into the graphics. so i'm just not mmo-ing right now, waiting for 9.1.5 , 9.2 or maube 10
The combat is absolutely unimmersive and is boring as fuckkkkkk
Janky combat and boring PVE quest structure really killed New World for me.
A lot of respect to you for a streamer who face was on new world to give your honest review! You are 100% right. I really wanted new world to be good I love pvp games I’m a 8x gladiator on wow and main pvp. But new world combat sucks.. as much as I wanted it to be good it doesn’t flow it’s so clunky spammy. Very little skills in dungeons or anything really it’s dull. They need to rework the pvp/pve the whole combat system. Much respect pretty lady!
its ok I will say what you won't, games trash.
It's a great base for a game i feel like could be excellent in a year or 2. Let's hope it gets the improvements it needs.
Competitive in a pve scenario is just BS.
PvP is competitive.
PvE is only a challenge that last for X Hours (like raids dungeons etc) then u know it and u have nothing that surprise u or u have to learn till a new raid or dg comes out. PvP is always competitive from lv 1 to endgame. U have to learn ur build, ur skills, how the opponents play, how to deal with their set up and how to recognize what they’re using, it requires an insane amount of skill and learning. This is competitive. PvE is not comp. its only a challenge for the big brain on the table in that moment or artificial difficulty
Possibly the longest ramble about the same topic I have ever heard. We get it, it's not for you.
I feel very similar, but i want to be able to target players or mobs, and a dps meter would be nice to compare and feel competitive. And the chat.. Omg i rly hate the chat system.
I want to be able to /say ty or ask for help.. The chat is just way to clumsy..
Ty for the video!
I feel the exact same way. Nice to relax and chill while gathering casually. Not really something I am super engaged by. Also not a big pvper. Looking forward to more videos!
Grafix looks nice…. the main storyline seems abcent…. shedloads of gathering… no mounts… repetitive quests… and i still dont understand the overall goal… who is the main badguy… (surely cant only be the zombie pirate guy at the start..)… sadly im passing this game :/ If "gamer's little playground" releases a "new world all cutscenes movie" etc, i will watch those.
I agree. They nailed the gathering part of crafting in this game. It's very satisfying. The PvE was an after thought and it shows. The combat is okay but not deep enough, imo, as a long-time MMO player. I had fun PvPing and the wars were exciting. I just cant help but feeling like fighting over the same areas back and forth, over and over, will get old. Lastly, there's no real story to bite into and the quest design is lazy. Seems like a good foundation to build on but for now there just isn't enough substance. To anyone who loves the game and thinks it's perfect or the greatest MMO in gaming history, cool. As a life long gamer, I'm glad you found your game. I'll keep my eye on it and maybe I'll jump back in to join you all in the future. ✌🏼
I feel the same, after playing wow 16 years
it realy looks boring
The worst part of the game imo was leveling. I just enjoyed it because I was playing with friends and having fun on discord
Games centered around pvp are honestly really getting boring. Hard pass for sure unless they ramp up the pve stuff.
If I were to give a review, it would be the same as Naguura's
from the chill aspect to the town projects board grind, gather/craft/fishing… to knowing there really isnt any real pve end goal/contant thats drawing me to make this my main game.
I don't care for pvp, altho i have my moments & can enjoy it on occasion, at the core i am not a pvp type player, I am pve
New World is okay. Needs a lot of work still
You have plans for the WoW hardcore challenge… Road to Ragnaros? It would be excellent watching you solo the expected, and unexpected, out in the Classic wilds.
Could you imagine yourself on a one life raid against a tougher Rag?
Trash game! Not a mmo! We all should actually sue Amazon for selling us shit and no refunds for long queue! We all got ripped off! My group got mass banned for pvp! Stupid game for mindless grinders
