I know this is going to fall into the "git gud" category for the Souls players, but good gods couldn't they make the roof areas look more like you are actually supposed to be there? It is so devoid of decorations compared to the ground that it doesn't look like you are supposed to be there until you stumble on an enemy or item. If they added just a little more clutter it would be just a little more clear that you are supposed to go there.

I feel like this is peak Odd – completely misses the main path, but absolutely nails the secondary content on the rooftops (well, and gets nailed too). So interesting to watch this and compare to my own experience – though after watching this I feel like I really, really did an awful job at the Academy compared to Stormveil. Missed the rooftops and also the Carian armor set he got in the previous episode.
The marionettes are my new favorite basic enemies. Love the wacky SOBs 😀

Use the ladder… It re uses the bonfire. That was the beginning area.
Also, why use magic grease on enemies that specialise in magic? Their robes are anti magic… It's like using fire on a fire enemy.

Could not disagree more about the exploration in this game. I found just no reason at all to look around because it leads to 1 of 2 things. An item you will never use or need, or a boss (mostly reused 5 times as you progress further). And for the "platforming" you need to do… Well I dunno, perhaps my expectations for an open world game is beyond normal jump, run and walk. May the Lord forbid someone who sets out to kill a god can actually swim. :p
