Too much repetition is boring; my eldest son and my favorite cafe are repeated too many times. Narrators please avoid too much repetition so that the stories may sound more interesting.
Please use names. Some titles you use so repeatedly sound uninteresting and not very appealing.
The woman has a "mobile phone". Unless she is in a primitive country, without an organized police force, a call to the authorities…911 in the US, and 999 in the UK, should have gotten some assistance!.

re first story, if the father was a good guy why couldn't he see in a year what his mother discovered in a few hours? I know he worked a lot, but they still lived in the same house in a year he must have spoken to his house a few times.
Who in there right mind would want to live on the 40th floor. And have to deal with that daily. In my opinion I would want the first floor and you can have all those upper floor you want. And if a fire broke out you would be the BBQ.
