The watermark system by design is terrible. I have seen entire factions run a "train" through all the high level areas, just running past all the monsters in the area to loot chests every 24 hours.
Spam killing the same elites over and over waiting 5-10 minutes between respawns HOPING something drops then hoping again it is the slot they need to upgrade, and hoping lastly for it to be a higher watermark.
There is nothing clever, engaging or fun about it.
Now they want to raise it to 620. They will probably keep raising it in the future, making it require even more time investment to stay top geared.

I never got passed Templar. I spent hours trying to figure out what the issue was. I got so aggravated I quit the game. How can you possibly have a storyline quest chain and have this happen? its moronic. I maybe dumb for not being able to fix it but the fact that it can even happen without a simple fix is worse. If I do all of the story line quests, how is it even possible?

Played through to level 30 and I just got far too bored and returned to FFXIV. Also, seeing all the game-breaking exploits nuked my will to return.
New World strikes me as a game which might be amazing in 2-3years time, depending on how much support it gets.

The tasks are so repetitive and lackluster in NW at the moment. Knowing that the end game was more of the same; once I got to level 35 I didn't want to continue. Coming from OSRS I was surprised I got bored so quickly; considering how many long repetitive grinds I've done on OSRS.
New World just seems very unfinished and could have done with another year or two in development. I hope with time it improves but I'm not holding my breath.
I’d rather get ignored by devs while I level new toons and sit on 2’s arena with my friends than play this lol

Why have you got that God aweful back ground sound/music playing…. it's bloody horrid.
The best thing for New World is the no sub thing. Most people can see the potential the game has, but it's not there yet. Fortunately I don't ever have to worry about keeping a sub or resubbing when new content comes, I just own the game and get to go play it whenever. So in a year or so I can try it out again and see where they've come.
This high watermark system sounds exactly like light levels in destiny 2… yeah hell naw not dealing with this again

I found a furniture blueprint that I salvaged, and then it just dissapeared. I also found one that literally has a place holder image. It literally has a greyed out chair, with the word Placeholder over it….
glad I didn't start this game maybe it will be better in a couple of years

The game is like a really attractive person with nothing going on inside, looks great but yet feels so empty at the same time. Too many annoying time wasting things also.
