This is my first gameplay video. I’m doing a blind let’s play of Final Fantasy 14 online. I’ve never played this game before so I don’t know exactly what i’m doing. I’ve found that I could use the eathernet for teleporting later on. I kinda struggled finding my way in the city, and I’m not used of how the map works, etc. Also, I will stick to the main questlines in future videos (starting from part 3) because I was boring myself from walking and doing those side quests.

welcome to ffxiv and Eorzea, its always refreshing to see new players join by the day please take your time enjoying this game.
one random comment here, the big difference in the two European data centers – Chaos has more French speakers, Light has more Germans. Other than that, they're basically interchangeable and you can even temporarily swap from one to the other to go meet up with people who happen to be on the other one, should you ever get into a situation where you want/need to do that (nobody is doing party finder for the raid I want to work on, let me go check the other DC, etc)
definitely take your time. Don't rush, stop and smell the roses. Do not try to do all the quests. Focus on the Main quest, blue quest icons and your class quest.
The starting class is not that important. You can do all classes on one character when your first class reach level 10. Which will happen insanely quick on Raiden with the crazy XP buff.
Edit: Raiden is a new server, so few players. Also, Seven Hells! Attune to the little blue aetherite (shards) inside the city -> free tp from shard to shard and additional destinations when you have all of them. And do your class quests & msq. Hand-in soonest, so you gain the benefits early.
Job quests give pretty good gear and sometimes abilities that will give you an edge over trash mobs and bosses.
I play Miqo'te and I hate furries. Please don lump them together.
The closer you pay attention to the plot, the more you’ll get out of the game.
Momodi filters the impatient, but as a result you’ll spend time in a community of readers.
