Love your stories!
Thank you for your wonderful sense of compassion ❤❤❤.
RIP Zed.
What a lovely story and what a special boy❤
Yes please tell us about all your rescues. Love hearing them. You're a great advocate for all breeds, that is fantastic.
Thanks for your insight.Am I interested in hearing about your other rescue dogs?Goes without saying!
What a heartwarming story of such a beloved pet and member of your family. Id'd love to hear more about other rescues you've care for. I'm new to the dog and rescue worlds, having never been a dog carer and just starting to volunteer with a local rescue in NYC. Thank you for your compassion and care of other furry and feathered friends at Chobham Vet, and I look forward to hearing about your practice too!
I love all dogs but an English Bull Terrier is my favourite, hopefully one day I'll be blessed with a rescue one. Such a sweet story Dr Scott, thank you for sharing this memory with us
Thankyou for this beautiful story.
I have a small farm in Oregon and have rescues .. I enjoy your videos Scott and just love this video.. God Bless you.. Merry Christmas..
What a beautiful story……I would love to hear about ALL of your rescue dogs!! ❤️💫🐶💫❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤
More stories, please!
I’m glad to know the full story. You’ve mentioned him over the years.
My first rescue was a puppy mill mama who had such an extreme uterine infection and large umbilical hernia she was surrendered. She had her uterus removed and the hernia repair. Sh was so ugly she was cute with her shaved body, cropped ears, eerily human eyes and underbite. I was so surprised when her hair grew was an absolutely adorable Brussels Griffon. ❤ She very much looked like an Ewok. She was with me 10 years and I lost her to cancer. My experience with her was so amazing as she learned there was an amazing world outside her cage that I adopted another puppy mill rescue mama. There’s nothing so satisfying having helped a traumatized dog feel loved and safe.
Not boring at all- thanks for sharing. I think rescue stories resonate with so many of us who allow these fur babies into our hearts and homes. And if I wasn't already in love with Mango- I am deeply in love now! So mellow and comfortable- makes me miss my "pup" even more. 💕
What a beautiful dog! Would love to hear about your other babies. ☺️
Scott, you are such a compassionate loving person—no wonder your sweet rescue dogs instantly fall in love with you. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story.
I love this story. Zed will forever be apart of you
I love your story of your first love: rescue dog, Zed!! It does remind us to never judge a book by it's cover and give the unknown X factor a chance. I am mourning the loss of my Nina of 17 years now, and the many things she taught me, she taught me I think to trust in the present and have hope for the future. I love your stories and the work you do thank you again for sharing with us. I did put this video on my Facebook wall, you teach others with humility and yet personal power. Bless!!
My first dog was a rottie named spice. She was my best friend.
Scott, love Zed's rescue story! I love the sweat shirt you are wearing! " I'd love too; but my dog said,No!" The would be a good selling sweat shirt. Mango is so attached to you! Mango is such a cute dog! Happy Holidays!
Scott that was beautiful. I have 2 rescue dogs. They have taught me more about love then any other dog I have had. Even though they were great dogs themselves.
I just lost my first dog. Like Zed I think her tough past prematurely aged her. I only had her for 2 years before cancer took her. She taught me so much. It was great to hear this story. I would love to hear more on your channel about grief and loss. Thank you
I would definitely like to hear about any of your rescues you're willing to share. Zed was a beautiful story and through it all Mango lol! That was one relaxed, happy dog. You mention a love sponge and Mango is lapping up every drop he's given. So cute!
I have had 2 dogs (Labradors) that apparently got something through rawhide bones/dried chicken breats that I fed them and did not know. That the poisonous substances in those items destroyed their livers and then their kidneys too. They died one after another in 10/2015 & 04/2016 (both had to be put down). That trauma caused me by these events lead me not to be able to have another dog for many years. Seeing their pictures still gives me mixed emotions but mainly great sadness and longing for them. ❤Was not until 10/2021 & 03/2023 that I got my next dogs. A yellow (my first) and black Labrador I was never (at least so far) into rescue dogs. Always got mine from breeders that I know. If they were not my good friends, became such. For me thst is how it works. My dogs do not come just from random people. And my dogs are my family members eventhough they also have rules. They attend dog shows too..
I love this story, but I also can't ignore that Mango is just a floppy fuzzy pancake. <3
Wonderful gift, that story was, thanks very much❣Need a bit more though:➡what abt Zed & those little kittens right next to him in a couple of the photos? Do tell, pls.
Lovely story, to hear that he lived the final years of his life loved and cherished is heartwarming. We moved back to Ireland from the UK with our dog Sparky and stayed with my parents for a few months. We then rented and couldn't have pets, so he stayed with my mum and dad and then later when we had our own house, it would have been too cruel to both him and them to take him back, they all loved each other so much. In all, he was with them for about 10 years and when they died, within months of each other, he came back to us. He only lasted for about 6 months with us when he died too! One of the saddest times of my life. He was a wonderful dog, who had been badly treated by his first owners but was never anything but loving and kind to humans. Angels without wings, that's what dogs are!
Mango is just adorable ❤❤❤ yes talk about your other rescues, it shows how special animals are and how impactful they can and how we don’t need to have puppies or kitten to make a difference in an animals life.
Please share more of your rescue stories with us!
Also, including how you hade to make those 2 difficult decisions is helpful for viewers who may be struggling with needing to make them now, or having had to make them in the past. I'm one of them: had to have my16 yo/used2Bferal cat, Boy George (w/the great big beautiful eyes) euthanized, unexpectedly, in April, & I go back+forth re: if did the right thing…hearing that part of your story & your noting how much Zed taught you resonated/touched me…some healing grief tears got their due respectful place in my life tonight❤Thanks very much.
Scott, I would love to hear more rescue stories. To be Mango just sleeping away while you were talking. He was putting me to sleep while watching.
I loved hearing such positive comments about a bull terrier, as I had only heard negative.
They are such handsome dogs!
My first adoption was my rescue foster, Bazinga aka Baz. He was found tied to a guide post on the gillies range sth of cairns. Since then my partner & i have fostered 18 rescued doggos to date. I said goodbye to my best mate Baz 1yr ago on november 4th…..
That dog was my "FAVOURITE HELLO & MY HARDEST GOODBYE" i said hello to my dog before my wife😮
Thank you so very much for sharing this with us! ❤️❤️❤️
Bull Terriers own "The ZOOMIES" hands down… I dont care if people dont like me, but i want all dogs to like me!
Thank you for sharing Zed's story.
Is that Mango on your lap as you tell us the story of Zed?
I know it is emotional for you but perhaps be a bit more aware of just how hard you are petting Mango as you tell us the story of Zed that basically changed your life.
I know Dogs like affection a bit rough at times but perhaps with your mind on Zed, it was too rough this time and Mango loves you and tolerates it!
Thank you for telling us about Zed. It gave me an appreciation of English Bull Terriers I never had before.
Love your story about Zed. Too many times people blame the wrong end of the leash. Thankfully Zed spent the last part of his life being loved and cared for 💖
