  1. For the repentia/arco flagellants, maybe instead of daemons which would probably be banished in the process of trying to get them to repent, have it be mutants and hardcore heretics. Maybe make them all twisted and have them in chains or something?

  2. might redo my OG all metal sisters similar as this but where there is purple, do orange and reds instead. if I can be bothered to paint them that is. probably just do a white/grey base/undercoat and call it a day tbh. got 2k all metal sisters army however.

edit: oh and Jen, as a beginner you are better than 94% of all gamers/hobbyists. keep going tho. maybe try Tau next.

  3. Cool Sisters army! I also struggle with paint schemes. When the Warhammer 40k 9th edition Indomitus box dropped and Guy at Midwinter Minis posted Sandstone Necron video, I really, really liked it, but resisted copying it. I really wanted something "my own" (I was thinking a sort of black and orange cooling magma scheme), but I couldn't get over the speed of his scheme, or the skeleton bone color which totally fit the models, plus all of my other army projects were on the dark side and I wanted something striking and new, so I finally broke down and painted up about 1500 or so points of desert stony Necrons (over a long weekend no less) to go with my Xenomorph-colored Tyranids, starfield Drukhari, and temperate rain forest Orks (my main army).
Now I have to decide what to paint that Sisters army I've slowly been collecting….

  4. I'm very happy with how you chose to respond to the Custodes news. I didn't imagine this channel would cave to pressure from chuds, and toe the line to preserve their feelings, but it's still a positive to see. I wish more prominent people in the community would take the same stance.

  5. I really don't like how gw handled the female custodians.

It flies in the face of the emperor's character. The dude is a massive sexist POS who laughed in malkador's face for suggesting female, but female custodians have "always been there"

There shouldn't be a difference between male and female models because boob armor is impractical and looks silly

  6. I genuinely love this video so much. The in depth dive into the love and passion behind your army and hobby is so good. Plus the models are really cool and wonderfully painted. I can't wait to see more of the channels armies (or guests)

  7. No need for 'female' Custodes sculpts, you already have some. Armour is the same for everyone, as it's about keeping you alive, not being form fitting. All they need is some female bare heads. Seen some art of a black female custodes with long braids and I'd LOVE to have that as an actually mini, looks amazing.

  8. First of all: Awesome paint job on the sisters of battle. The burning souls look amazing, and I think Celestine kitbashed is just awesome and awe-inspiring. Also agreeing on the weird torture stuff being… well, weird. I feel like the Iron Maiden-style sarcophagi are waaaay more awesome.

Second up: I more or less agree with the female custodes being a thing. I don't dislike it or hate it, I just feel like they make their fanbase look stupid by retconning it and saying "Yeah they were always men and women, didn't you notice?". I feel like there is a line to be drawn from Amazon getting involved and Blackrock making a pretty massive contribution to the company that kinda swayed them into more DEI/ESG for the sake of mainstreaming our hobby. Especially now that Henry Cavill's show is being worked out.

Third: I just hope that this is where the forced inclusivity stops. We don't need male sisters of battle or female space marines. With the Custodes, I kinda get it since they were all hand-sculpted by the emperor himself. But for Space marines, it's always been common knowledge that men were the only people who could be converted into space marines for relatively obvious reasons. As for sisters of battle. I mean, they're called "Sisters of battle", not "Misters of battle". The same can be said about space marines. They're called "Battle Brothers", not "Battle Mothers". So yeah, I hope the forced inclusivity stuff from Blackrock and Amazon ends with the custodes as there's plenty of it throughout the entire setting.

  9. Nice how Dave is missing the point in the femstodes controversy and starting to throw insults.

    Dear Dave,
It is not about the fact that they are bringing them it is HOW and WHY. Where how is just cheap and lazy and why just to please some loud minority on social media.
I would suggest Northern Exiles clip on the matter which summs it up pretty well… (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTVVjT_bToE).

With such comments like yours you have just shown your disrespect to a lots of ppls valid crtique on the matter (both points mentioned above) and you are pretty much doing the same as the twitter mob which is screaming "CAVE MAN! Missangony!" at everyone (male and female) who is asking some valid questions on the matter.

And btw I speak to woman every day without any problems so your slur should be debunked here 😉

  10. "I really like the Sisters of Battle, but maybe they could be worse?" gosh that lake of blood sounds horrible, what a wonderful faction! and that scenic base is so good.

  11. Love the new format, and it is a massive shame that the legions of trolls out there are so busy trying to gate keep the game.
As for a name for the new segment, something like hobby & coffee or similar might be a way to market it?
